Totally useless tease.

Rec'd this today. Can confirm it is shithotfun. Loads of settings to be found. It's kinda like crossing a dipthonizer with a flanger. That's the most accurate description I can think of. I think it will shine when used with other pedals, but I have only tried it on its own for the moment. Much fun to be had.

Back to Skyrim for the 3rd playthrough. I just can't help it...got tons of unfinished games but Bethesda has some jedi-mind sh*t on me.

Mods / Re: is this mod possible on the dig dug 2

Hmm...that doesn't help much. In terms of sequencing, you are talking about taking time-based slices of an audio signal. IOW: put an audio signal in and divide it up into distinct sections. But, you have to set the division point by some audible characteristic. In a tremolo, it's amplitude. In the wah, it's different frequency centers on a notch filter. Or, it could be something else like pitch. So, when you say it "sequences the signal" you need define what it is sequencing (or slicing). Unless I am completely clueless here (which is always possible...even likely). Maybe if you can find an audio example similar to what you heard before (doesn't have to be guitar)....otherwise I am not sure.

I'm having a little trouble understanding the question. What exactly do you mean by sequencing the guitar signal? In order for the DD to work, it has to modulate or vary some aspect of the guitar signal already. Can you give a more specific example of what you want to do?

I'm sorry - what I thought you were asking was if any resistor values around the clock needed to be changed  (I forgot about the trimmer.)

You might need to make a slight adjustment to the trimmer or it may be fine as is. IIRC when I last tried 9v vs. 12v I did little or no adjustment. The trimmer adjusts the bias voltage for overall headroom whereas the clock is modulated by the LFO.

Here is a really good link for circuit analysis:http://www.electrosmash.com/boss-ce-2-analysis

Nope!

Just a note of thanks - the free shipping weekend sale was a big success! I expect to have most of the orders out today, so if you have not received shipping notification you should very soon.

Tomorrow I will work on the 3 demos of the new projects. Also, I still have some PMs to answer which I will do ASAP.

If you get delay but no repeats the likely problem area is the feedback pot itself or maybe one of the components directly connected to it.

Open Discussion / Re: Notifications?

Yahoo and Hotmail may be a problem. Not sure if there are others. It's something with the site host, I think, not the forum configuration. Are the people not getting notifications using Hotmail or Yahoo?

The Muff certainly is prone to some noise and hum. I built my RH to Civil War specs and it is actually pretty quiet, if that helps. Most likely that is due to it being less gain than some of the other versions. But, you are not going to be able to fit a large cap like that (470uF or 1000uF) on the Rabbit Hole. There's just no room. If you are using a well-regulated power supply like the PP2 or whatever, the 9v rails are already filtered quite a bit, too.

The suffix can mean a few different things. Generally they indicate either package type or temperature range. Sometimes other things. Most of the time you are safe ordering any given one but do make sure you are getting DIP and not SMT (unless you are building surface mount).

As Jimi said, looking at the datasheets are a good habit to get into. Often they will lay out in a grid exactly what each suffix means.

Here is a pic of my final Weener. I'm pretty sure this is my first "stock" wah (I've built two or three other versions of the Weener with lots of mods). Man, it rules! The Whipple works really well here.

I'll be really busy shipping orders the next two days but I expect to have demos up on Wednesday of the three new projects.

The Weener Wah doc is finally up.
