I expect it to be in the next batch I have manufactured. I will be ordering that batch within the next two weeks.

Here's the way I would do it: expression pedal input for the wah OR the univibe. Just select which one with a switch. That would be epic.

That's a really good idea for a multi-effect project.

I'll put in one small plug here - I am working on a 1590B Univibe so if it works out that would be a good candidate to put in with a fuzz and octave in maybe a 1790NS. Anyway, I think is exactly what I will do with my build now that you got the engine fired!

The new Laserwolf boards have all shipped and the project doc has been updated for this run.
http://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/Laserwolf/Laserwolf_2015.pdf

There are no significant changes other than fixing the couple of mistakes that were on the proto boards.

Brian did you hold mine until the zero point??

Cesar - sorry, I forgot. My little brain is a capacity right now.
But the SPDX2 proto boards will ship free I've decided so no worries on that. I actually just got them in and I am building one up right now to verify!

Measure the inputs and outputs with and without the switch thrown. Do you have DC there? The output cap is an electrolytic, those can be very leaky.

already change capas for better quality and also now i have all non electros caps, also i have a lot of  DC on the input and output, about 100mv on input and about 50mv on output

That's the problem for sure. The question is why is it there?
How about your ground....are you reading a true 0v (or at least not more than a couple mV)?

What if you temporarily disconnect the input and output from your switch? Do you still get a non zero reading on them?
I'd also look carefully at the board traces. There's always a possibility that there could be something wrong with the board, e.g. continuity when between traces that should not have it.

just checked and ground its 0.00mv,inputs even on bypass are 50mv or more

I have an aversion to the S2 series, but I like the Vela, especially with the SC in the neck.  Would actually prefer it with a trem though.

As for those that don't get the PRS appeal, go play a 408, a DGT, and a Studio.  You'll get it.
Of those three, which do you like best?  Just curious.

After seeing a bunch of YT videos on PRS I'm curious too. Pretty sure there is one in my future.

Possibly you have a leaky cap in C1.
What I would try: socket C1. Try another 1n there. If it still pops try a 10n. If it still pops try removing R1 or replacing it with 1M.

I'm hooked on John Oliver's Last Week Tonight which is frikking AWESOME. Only other thing I am watching is Walking Dead and Better Call Saul (kinda).

C3 can be 1uF, no problem. I made it 2u2 since there was already one for C33. In fact, the LFO will work even with C3 jumpered but it's there for potential noise isolation between the delay and modulation.

What you are describing with the delay pot is definitely not kosher. You might have a jinxed pot. Some contact cleaner would be my first step before replacing it (if you have it). So, my guess is that the noise and pot issue are somehow related. Having just boxed my own DB build up today I can tell you for sure that noise should not be much of an issue in this build except for the unavoidable artifacts you get when running the PT2399 over 400ms.

Your voltages looked pretty good and I assume that they are stable on the PT. Your VC/VD/VB are a bit on the low side, though. You might want to just jumper out R42 while you are at it. And last but not least, try a different power supply when noise is a problem (goes for any build).

Build Reports / Dirtbaby - nightmare build # 745
March 10, 2015, 11:32:06 PM
This was a nightmare build because of a lot of stupidity on my part.
-----------------------------------------
Had a great stick on label with Envirotex - some bubbles but nothing terrible.
Decided to try fine sanding bubbles which only served to take the shiny finish off.
Chose to forge ahead but soon realized why I should have drilled the enclosure BEFORE Envirotex. Ruined entire damn thing.
Decided to sand off finish and artwork and go for a more reliced enclosure.
Transferred artwork to PCB plate.
Top finish kept getting dust in it so I sanded it back. I like the results cause now the plate is sanded like the enclosure. You can't tell from this pic, though.
Installed the damn 3PDT on the wrong side of the 3PRR cause I was not paying attention to what I was doing (not a big deal...it is symmetric).
-----------------------------------------

Anyway, all told I started this build like 3 months ago and now it is finally done. It was worth it...this is my favorite delay of all the ones I've designed/built over the last 10 years or so. It just sits right where it needs in the spectrum of guitar tone, IMO. And, I'm not saying that to sell more boards...I genuinely love it. The 9v/18v is subtle, but there is just a bit more girth and upper mids in the through-signal which I like.

- BTW -  We are working on a 'deluxed' version of this for production through FFX....shhh. That's a secret.

#3688
There's going to be some noise, but you really should not have any with the delay pot all the way down and very little with it in the first half. So, possibly something is awry in the filtering. Have you double checked to make sure all your resistors and caps are the correct values?

If so, here is something else you can do: Increase C9 and C10 to 2n2 and C19 to 47n. Socket these while you are at it. This should clamp down that noise quite a bit. If it goes too far, back off C19 to 22n. Let me know what you think of the results.

Also, have you put in the correct LED on D2? I found this made a huge difference in my build.
#3689
Is the noise present in all settings of the delay pot or just toward the max delay?

Looks like the OPA2604 is pulling too much current for the 10R. Go ahead and jumper R12 and then measure your voltage on pin8 of the IC. It should sit around 9v.
