Yes, all the parts are pretty much the same. Sorry I am behind (many orders to pack up over the last couple of days). I will get the doc finished and up tomorrow. It is 95% done.

Your voltages are fine. You need to take another look at your wiring.

I think the bass version sounds like poo. Bass doesn't need overdrive. It needs FUZZ (with a clean blend)!

BTW: are you using TL062 for all the other ICs? I can't tell from the pic. I found that it helped a little bit, too.

Thanks. Fixed both.

Haven't done that myself but it should be safe to try. Let us know how it turns out.

It is exactly the same.

Yes, their purpose and values are explained in the doc.

You've got it right, no worries there.

We need to find out why you are getting a very small reading on ground. Tell me, or show me, exactly how you have it set on your testing apparatus.

I'm concerned that you are reading 2.5mV and above on ground. That should not be the case.

1 - How are you testing your build? Is it in a testing rig or boxed up?
2 - Have you tried wiring the G pad to the nearest ground point? There is a via connected to ground just above R71.

Open Discussion / Put in your vote on release order
January 05, 2015, 04:27:45 PM
As promised, here is a poll to allow members to give their input on what order upcoming projects get released. I cannot promise that I will stick exactly to the popular vote all the time, but I will be using the info to help guide me into giving you guys what you want...when you want it!

You can vote up to 7 times, there's no end date on the poll and you can change your vote later on if you like. I hope this is helpful to everyone!

I should mention - everything here has been worked on and is in various stages of development although most are nearly completed.

No, those values are incorrect. The values you listed came from the original schematic release of the Klon which had errors. That schematic was later revised in April 2009. The Sunking uses the corrected values.

I did not see a reason to include the compander. Rather, I have yet to run across a PT2399 that has been improved significantly by including one. I know the PT-80 has one but I actually have not built that one personally. It just seemed like overkill in this circuit.

As far as noise, my proto had quite a bit until I added that LED. It seemed to be the magic mod for making this circuit sound good.

All the minor errors have been corrected and the LED mod has been added to the newly released boards.
