On a scale of awesome, one being kinda awesome, ten being most awesomess possible, I think this is a solid nine. The pickup is soo much fun to play with. The bundled software is actually pretty good...lots of sounds to explore. Tracking and latency are also great, including bends and slides.

I am having a problem with my actual interface so I can't be definitive on the latency of the Fishman since my buffer size is pretty high right now. It's a problem I've been having for a while. But, from what I can tell it does what they dais it would do.

In any case, it is pricey but I cannot see it being a waste if you have a specific use for it. I will be using it to generate song ideas and make demos.

Setup and pairing was easy enough. I did have to shim the neck on my Strat a bit as well as raise the action to accommodate the height of the pup. But, the neck pocket on that guitar is a actually a bit too deep which is the reason for the adjustment. If I had installed it on the SG I don't think I would have to make any adjustments.

Brejna got it all. You could use lower than 10M between the caps if you have to. I would not go below 1M on those resistors though.

What is worst in life? Finding out that you swapped power and ground on a couple ICs on your badass PCB design...after building it. And, burning yourself on a super hot IC in the process. It makes me rather stabby.

This is the part where I admit I copied the tails idea over from one of the earlier Dirtbag prototypes but did not check it out thoroughly on the 'baby. So, obviously there is something else at play here. I will look into it as soon as I can and come up with a viable solution. Sorry...I should have been more thorough. But, I will get it solved.

I'll check into the tails thing. I might have made a mistake on that somehow.

Well, I don;t know how one would match a bulb to photocells, but most likely the cells themselves are matched for close light/dark resistances.

I probably have a CM7371 I can send you. It's what I use in my Univibe builds.

the voltages on the FET are

0.00
0.26
17.7

Hmm. Maybe try bumping R51 from 4k7 to 10k or 22k?

The lead broke off completely or is there any left? Where is this Univibe kit, BTW?

Okay, good to know about the resistor. Sorry, I did not check back in sooner.

On the buzzing in modern mode....are you using active pickups or something? You mentioned a pre-amp stage.

Very nice build, Kinki.

It's amazing what so few parts can do.

That is rad. And, the demo is insanely funny.

Sorry, guys I did not realize I had removed it from the Projects Page! The one linked is the correct one.

My bad.

We use that term in the beanhold to refer to our fat pug dog.

String though is always better! There can be no discussion😈
