I think this should be it.

For whatever reason, your board is pulling too much current and causing the resistor to overheat. Go ahead and jumper it instead. Make sure you get a good reading on your voltages afterward to make sure they are correct.

I would go further: reduce C18 to 1uF or 2u2. Alternatively, reducing C19 to 10n will also reduce a little bass.

Ceramic is fine if you do not have mica.

Global Annoucements / Re: End of Summer Sale coming
August 31, 2014, 01:50:13 AM
Wanted to point out that the international shipping calculation changed a bit, so these customers may see their shipping costs go up a bit. This change was necessary due to some of the larger boards increasing the weight of the packages. I've been eating the costs of the discrepancy (comes from 2oz vs. 3oz 1st Class shipments) for a few months, but obviously that is not sustainable.

Anyway, to address the issue of shipping costs I hope to convert the entire shipping calculator to one that is based on weight. Paypal does not offer an accurate way to do this for the PCBs so y'all can expect a cart-based system to show up natively at some point. Those of you that have been here a long time know I obsess about not over-charging whenever possible (at least not more than 25-50 cents).

You can try dropping R9 to half. If you get any whine then try a different op-amp like the TL074.

So when I sign in under mremic01, I can only see the hosted support forums. Did I get banned for flying too close to the sun(king)?
I think Bean just made a clerical booboo when he was playing with your other account ;)

This is why we can't have nice things.

Huh, that should not have happened at all. Well, I removed the tag so everything should be back to normal now.

Hey guys, that's my pedal blog. Honestly, I'm surprised anyone actually read that post. I don't have any formal background in klonology (my BA is in East Asian Studies), but I spend a good part of my work week at a desk, so I've been e-sleuthing as much klonformation as I can find.

Are you sure? Your forum pedigree suggests otherwise.

Audio/Video Demos / Moodring and Sparklehorn
August 29, 2014, 08:41:33 PM
The Sparklehorn demo is a little meandering. I tried to cover all the ground I could, but with 8 knobs there's a lot of options.

The 3PRR wiring diagram showed the 9v wire going to the wrong tab on the DC jack (the battery tab). This has been fixed and the doc has been replaced on the Projects Page.

Is there a specific reason for the 2 different kinds of 9mm pots?
I guess, there should be enough room for 2 rows of regular 9mm pots and I don't really like the plastic shaft ones.

You don't have to use the plastic shaft ones. You can use the other kind. The only difference is the holes for the mounting clips are 1mm larger on the plastic shaft ones. But, you can still fold them over and solder them to the pad if you want. Better to give options for people who prefer different methods :)

QuoteI just cannot stop looking at that big, fat, unwired sleeve on the Output

It has continuity with ground (I checked). If it were all plastic, I would ground the sleeve but it isn't necessary here.
