Wire SP1 to the top set of lugs left to right. Repeat with SP2 on the bottom set of lugs.

What kothoma said. Make R19 smaller. Try 8k2 or 10k.

Very easy to wire. Just switch the ins and outs from one PCB to another. It's just toggling two effects with a single switch.

0.5" I'm pretty sure.

In this one, the buffer is meant to be bypassed in effect mode. The main PCB still has the other input buffer.

I've got an updated (but unreleased) Darkside etching project if you wanna try it out. It has the buffer on a separate PCB so it might be just the thing for you. But, you gotta etch it.

You can't use plastic shaft for all six pots due to the different mounting hole sizes.

For tight builds, I use:

The center to center distance on the three regular pots is 0.7".

Got some already on the way :) I am excited to give those a go.

Steve just got in a ton of v3208 chips at smallbear which have apparently been QA's. So, I will be testing these in the DB3 circuit, too.

Open Discussion / A small note

Some thoughts on things I am seeing happening.

I see many people plunging into the the challenge of designing their on projects, PCBs, and small business models. I want to let you guys know that I am extremely proud to see this community take that step. I honestly feel that this is a group of colleagues, not customers. We are all in a tiny endeavor together that isn't about our own personal egos, agendas or profit motives. I feel like there is a thriving community of folks here that are willing to donate their time and expertise for the greater good. And, that is important.

Let me share with you a small nugget of my personal philosophy with you. When I was 17 y.o. entering Berklee College of Music we had a series of commencement lectures. One of these was particularly inspiring. A lecturer asked for volunteers to come up to the stage and asked them, "Why music? What is it about music that inspires you?". One particular brave young rocker came upstage and said; "Music is a craft. It has to be be practiced and perfected. I don't care if it takes my whole life...it's what matters to me most".

This has informed so much of my life. It seems silly but it's true. One little moment in time that was so inconsequential yet inspiring. My hope is that you guys will take some small nugget of inspiration, wherever you may find it, and help you in whatever way it can. Whether you find it it music, in pedal building, art, science, philosophy,  or whatever. Take what is meaningful to you and own it. It's yours. No one...nothing, can ever take that away from you.

Open Discussion / Re: 47KA Pot Help~!
July 03, 2014, 02:44:48 AM
They are more common outside of the US so you might have to go to a European source for that. However, it's easy to make your own! Simply put a 1M resistor on the two outside lugs of your 50kA pot to approximate a 47kA.

Keep in mind, though, that difference between 47k and 50k is only 6%. This is well within the tolerance of the average pot you can buy (which are more like 20%). IOW, there's little to no difference in using a 47k or 50k unless really tight tolerances are a factor. You could even buy a few 50kA pots and I bet you would find one that measures 47k!

Yes there will and soon. I'm taking a little extra time to make sure the Moodring and Sparklehorn projects are perfectly designed. But, I am almost finished. IOW, the order will be placed ASAP.
