Yes, you can use a DPDT On/On/On toggle. This is how you would hook it up: hook the three inputs to the lugs shown below, put a wire from lug 2 on the B column to lug 3 on the A column and wire the output from lug 2 on the A column.

There is an A/B comparison b/w zinc and alkaline in a fuzz on the Analogman site. They do indeed sound different in the clips but it isn't exactly scientific, FWIW.

It is a 100uF electrolytic cap. Check next to the TL071 IC on the top right of the schem. the cap helps smooth out the VB supply.

Next contest starts 4.1 and goes to 4.30!
Prizes and threads will be started out tomorrow. It will allow all builds between 1.1 - 4.30 to cover the gap between the last contest.

If the charge pump you are using will accept 12v then you should get about 23v or so out.

The GreenBean is mostly the same except there is one less switch. I dropped the Fat switch in favor of a better layout on the PCB.
The Sunking2 has three optional mods. One for diode switching and two for changing the bass response. It is laid out like the Klon...three knobs in a row in a horizontal 1590BB.
The Deadringer2 is very, very different than before. It has an independent JFET boost with tone control, different buffers, a rotary fat switch plus three more toggle switches for tweaking. I'm am really happy with it and I think people will dig it.

Increase C3 from 47n to either 100n or 150n. This will fatten it up. Socket to find your favorite value there.

Fernando,

Please see this: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=902.0
And tell us a bit more (any parts subbed, voltages, etc) and/or provide a pic of your build/wiring.

I'll start on the website re-design beginning in April. That should take a week. Another week or so to get the documentation together on the etching projects. Probably, I will release them in 2 or 3 batches over the course of a few weeks. So, end of April.

I can promise now that the next two to three months is going to have an intense release schedule. I'm wrapping up many many projects. Of course, I've said that before, but now things are coming together in a more focused way. Stuff that I've been picking at for months (or years) is pretty much in the can. I'm excited to get this stuff out to you guys.

I like DRs on bass. Don't like them too much on guitar.
Just put 10-52 D'Addario on the SG...pretty good.

My favorite of all time: Martin SP Electrics. They don't make them anymore. Most amazing sounding and feeling strings ever. But, they were not popular, I guess.

There are two versions listed in the PS documents and they are exact in terms of values. The Albini one comes from a direct trace (not by me, obviously). However, end results for people have varied and it may not be possible to replicate his exactly, even with the same parts. I know his had a couple of wirewound resistors in his, although I do not suspect that matters much. His may truly be "one of a kind" but you can at least get very close.

I don't know about the other two controls on the Cattybread...their site is currently down.

Yes, a 1MB will still work. The range will be a little less but there should still be enough. You can socket R6 to try higher values there if you want to tweak the range.

That is strange. Can you tell me your voltages on the Q3 and Q4 transistors? Are they socketed? Have you tried putting in any other transistor there, such as a 2n5088?

I checked my Eagle file and the transistor pinouts are correct for sure.
