Build Reports / Re: Egghead! xD

Great demo! It's got that sweet break up without being muddy. It just rolls right off the speaker cone.

Mods / Re: Longer record time in Loophole?
April 29, 2013, 11:47:18 AM
The 2560 looks like it will be a good option for the LoopholeII (as well as work in Loophole1). The record/playback functions are simplified somewhat.

There's also the 2590 and 25120, but the sampling frequency on those are extremely low.

Same thing: increase R50 and R51, but keep them identical values. This will shift the max depth value down, though. Alternatively, you could go up to 250k or 500k on the Depth pot to keep the same max depth and decrease the min depth.

I don't know about the inductor, but those acrylic jacks are pretty neat.

Mods / Re: Zero Point Micro MIX MOD?

Lower the value of R15 to 4k7. This will give you a higher mix of delay vs. clean signal.

Well, remember the voltage it runs on will be the same whether or not you use a One Spot and charge pump, or 18v and no charge pump. So, there will not be any significant change in the overall tone.

That one is an AC supply. You'd have to use a rectifier to convert it to DC, then probably regulate it downward. That might be a bit more trouble than it's worth.

This was added to the build document for the Harbinger One.

04.19 Revision: Some reports of problems with excessive voltage drop using R54. If using the filter PCB, you should jumper this resistor, or replace it with a 1N5817. If replacing it with a 1N5817, omit D1. The 1N5817 should be oriented with the anode on the left and cathode (banded side) on the right.

This should be it.

BC550 are opposite pinout from 2N5088.

There are some demos you hear where you think yeah, that's cool, and then there are the rare ones that you don't want to stop. I think you know which category yours is in Pryde. Fantastic work and playing! I'm very proud of you!

Go ahead and socket R41 and try higher values there. This will move the oscillation point forward with the FDBK pot. That point is slightly different with each mode setting, but a 10k-22k will make all the difference there.

tried an led in there, it just stays lit no matter where you set the controls

What kind of voltages are your reading on IC5?
#4799
You did not need to cut the trace-- you could have just clipped one of the resistor leads. But, either way gives you the same result, which is to leave it off the circuit. So, I think you are good there.

To change where the FDBK pot runs off, you can increase R41 to a higher value. 9'ock seems kinda early though for that to happen.

The C suffix destination on the BC550 doesn't matter.

I can't really comment on the modulation until you provide a description of what's going on there. Is your LED lighting up with the rate control?

Open Discussion / Re: New Weener Wah, new format?

Well, that is a good idea but sadly, no. It won't be a straight drop in with the jacks. I opted to stick with the same basic layout that lets you use axial or radial caps.

On the plus side, the PCB size has been reduced, so I will be able to lower the price slightly. I have also taken some additional measurements on inductors, and you should be able to drop in both Crybaby and Vox inductors easily.
