Open Discussion / Re: JFET Prices

I got a good size of them right after the announcement. But, I got no qualms with SMD. Prices aren't that good, though.

They will be in the next batch. I'm placing the order at the end of this week, I think. So, we'll go right up to the end of the month on the release date.

That's a bit unusual. Sorry for the bad advice, MIM#1!  :-[

The input of IC2_B is inverted.

You can actually increase R24 to lower the output. Try 47k there, and leave the other stuff stock. Jumpering R25 means that when the Vol trim is all the way down you will have no output. You need some resistance there at all times. But, a higher value of R24 will limit the signal a bit more going into that stage.

The 1N5818 should have the lowest voltage drop.

Any of the three you mentioned are fine. I uses 1N5818 all the time. But, the other two work as well.

Yeah, I gotta agree. That is pretty gimmicky. Tone sucking impedance shenanigans.  ;D

Is everything grounded properly on your testing rig?

The rotary switches have a ring stopper that you set in position. So, you just need to set it for three rotations. You can also use a 1P12T or an On.On.On DPDT. It doesn't really matter as long as it has at least one pole and three terminals.

Yeah I think that is fabbed. No way those vias are plated through by DIY methods.

Well...that's a circuit board alright.

CP, CN and IP are pretty common. I use CP and CN interchangeably without issue in most effects.

In the case of the LR, it's actually D7 and it is a 1n4148. Lift that out and try powering it up. If it works, just replace that diode. BTW: 1N4001 is fine there, too.

I got about twenty pages of inactive accounts eliminated yesterday , but still have a long ways to go.
