General Questions / Re: KingSlayer project

There are a couple listed on the Links page of the madbeanpedals website.

The Baxandall has both cut and boost and the Barber (or Sparkplug) is boost only for mid and bass and cut only for the treble. So, that's a big difference there, I guess. Amp-like could mean a lot things...were you thinking of anything more specific?

General Questions / Re: Etched Boomstick - R22?

Looks like it is mislabeled-- R22 on the single sided layout should be R19 on the BOM-- 82R

I hope to demo that very thing. Problem is, I just sold my Sunking last month! However, I have another really good Klon build which I could box up for comparison.

USPS is doomed because of their mandated pension fund from what I hear :(

ya that's the one. I'll etch you one if bean doesn't care. If about to etch myself one. I can just do 2 at once if you want?

Have at it.

I decided the deluxe version should stick with 2x MN3005 or v3205. I think 4 BBD's to bias is just a bit too complicated for some and will increase the likelihood of frustration. And, it would also be a pretty big challenge to make 4 BBDs fit in a 1590BB with everything being through-hole and 1/4W resistors. Maybe with 1/8W it would be possible. I just did not seriously consider it.

I do have a 300ms version (regular Aquaboy) with 2x BL3208 done. However, there is a problem with it which I have not been able to solve (massive signal loss at the expandor) so I'm holding off on that until I can spend some more time on it....it's kinda up in the air whether or not to release another Aquabopy, or just stick with the Deluxe since it has double delay and modulation. Maybe if I could squeeze it down to a 1590B---now THAT would be cool.

Just as a preview, here's the Aquaboy DX. This should be the final prototype as I am 99% this is just right. As you can see, it will be a much easier fit than the Dirtbag for a 1590BB, which is a plus. There are spots to select LFO type (square/triangle) and a trimmer in the feedback path so you can easily control exactly when the delay goes into oscillation on the Feedback pot.

Yes, both are alive. I realize I've put them off for quite a while....I will do my best to get them finished and available ASAP. I've actually put in a lot of time into both so believe me, they will get done :)

My top priorities are the Nautilus, Harbinger, Aquaboy, Fishhead, Stage Fright and Zero Point right now. All of these will be completed and released within the next two months.

Thanks! I will be doing a demo of it later today (time permitting--gotta finish up the other two project docs).

Glad you like it Rej. I got a great deal on it myself, so I passed that along.

Like Scruff said---gotta get that LFO working or there is no phase sweep. Monitor pin7 of IC2 with your DMM to confirm the voltage there is sweeping up and down a bit. If not, that's the source of the problem.

No...there's just not enough going on in it to really bolster the fidelity. For that, I suggest either the "Sea Urchin" in the Extra Projects section, Rebote 2.5 or the Echo Base.

You are not really going to get much of a hi-fi type digital delay out of a PT2399-- it's frequency response is pretty low by guitar standards (which is why it is useful for doing analog modeled type stuff).
