Are you positive you have used 100k for both the bias trimpots?

I'm really happy to hear people are pleased with it. I love it when simple designs work out like this!

I have the Timeline and it is something. Probably more options than one could ever need. Can't speak to the comparison to the other two. Feel free to hop over here and demo the T-line yourself, anytime!

If your LED is constantly red, something is definitely amiss. Unity output should occur somewhere in the first third of the Level pot setting. You may get brief amounts of the LED lighting up but it should not be constant. As you dial the Level up, the input to the delay section increases and you get some op-amp clipping as well as more of the LED going off.

The LED is not actually part of the audio. First, make sure that you have used the correct values for R2, R3, R19 R18, and R20.

To lower the brightness of the LED, simply increase R20. I suggest a socket, and start with 4k7.

Use a CLR and LED as normal, and use a DPDT toggle for the Octave switch instead. First row get the two wires that connect to the Oct pads on the PCB. On the second row of lugs, wire the - side of the LED to the outside lug and center lug to ground. Now when you switch the Oct on, the LED will light up.

According the the tracing schem I have 22k is correct. I've added a note to the project doc that it may be incorrect and to substitute 2k2 instead. I suspect 8k2-10k might be fine, as well.

Yup, this is a good idea. It's too late to add them to existing projects, but I will do this for any future germanium oriented projects.

I put in a few bucks on the Kickstarter last week. I would like to see it take off. It's niche, but good niche!

She did have an Eagle template some time ago but I think the cartridge design has changed since then.

Huh----I don't even remember writing that. Must have been a while back! For the most part, it's still true for me, although more and more I appreciate a simple treble cut as a tone control. IMO, if an overdrive is well designed you should not end up with either an excess or deficiency in treble content in its nominal setting. When that is the case, you really only need a very limited amount of treble cut or boost as a control. A lot of tone controls go way overboard in this area!

Tone controls are also overused in effects sometimes, I think. It's as if people include them more out of habit than necessity. Personally, I almost always prefer fiddling with the tone control on the guitar. The exception is in certain active controls, where you can get some nice boost in mid-range.

In general, I prefer discrete based overdrives over op-amp ones. Of my own projects, the FatPants is a good example of what I like. I don't really have a favorite necessarily and the only non-DIY OD I own is a TS-10. I'm actually still digging the natural overdrive I get out of my Vox amps---the overdrives and boosts just give it a bit more icing.

No guitar? Dude---I did not realize :(

Yes, a 100uF - 220uF will probably do the trick.
