I still owe some voltages on a Wolfshirt, so I will add this one too. I will get both of these done by tomorrow. I've been too distracted futzing around with an idea...time to buckle down and take care of business around here!

Shouldnt there be a connection from input jack sleeve to DC jack negative? And possibly input jack sleeve to output jack sleeve?
Whenever I hear a loud buzz and nothing else it's because I forget something like this.

Good eye. I didn't notice that. I don't think either jack is grounded. Testing it outside the box like this, you should ground both to something.

Yeah, your gain pot is right. Everything else on the board is looking good.

I ask about the metal jack for two reasons: one, make sure you are getting 9v through to the PCB by using a DMM . Second thing is, if you are going to use a metal enclosure, that jack will have to be completely isolated from it or it will short out the power.

Your tone and volume pots are wired backwards, to start.

What type of DC jack is that you have there...is it one of those metal ones?

Also, for your big C12...are you sure the leads are not touching any of the leads of the resistors underneath?

Get ready for...the "Zero Point"!!

Jiffy's sample is pretty close to what I would expect from an average build, FYI.

Very big difference. Interestingly, I thinking your modded version sounds pretty close to the "stock" results I've gotten. This is a mystery!

Could you summarize once more the changes you've made to achieve your mod? Maybe I can offer a solution to get your delay level bumped up.

Bwahahha. That tone cap is AWESOME! That is very boutique.

I love the eagle and the color on the box. 10/10 for you!

A passive tone stack should be fine without recovery on the FP. There's enough output that I don't think you will suffer greatly for it. Best guess would be to do the BMP in place of the volume pot. Get your tonestack where you want it, then connect the wiper of the 100kB tone pot to lug3 of the 100kB volume pot for the FP.

Super looking build! I'll wait for the guts.

I can get you some replacement boards sent for your Uproar and PB, too :)

On IC2, you should read -9v on pin4 and about 17.5 on pin8. On IC3 you should read -9v on pin5.

So, something is wrong at the charge pump. It could be a bad charge pump, or possibly one of the electrolytic caps is pointing the wrong way (C20 onward) or one of the 1N4001 is bad or pointing the wrong direction.

Can we get a pic of the topside?

Josh,

Any chance of a small sound sample of your current findings? I'd really like to hear exactly what your repeats are sounding like to gauge it against my own.
