I read somewhere online that a capacitor's capacitance will change if it's voltage rating is exceeded. I was wondering if it also changes if the voltage is far below the voltage rating. Or should I avoid using capacitors with high voltage rating such as 630v and use say a 50v cap instead. would the lower voltage be a better option for building an average guitar pedal?

I am wondering if anyone has any mod ideas for the neutrino such as-

1.) more/less Bass

2.) more/less mids

3.) more/less gain

4.) Anything that was not previously mentioned (weird mods etc.)

  Can I temporarily wire my neutrino without a dc jack and just use a battery until I can manage to get my hands on a dc jack? In other words I forgot to buy a dc jack, I live 60 miles from the nearest radioshack and I am broke. Any input would be appreciated thank you
