I want to replace a 470r resistor in a wah with a pot. What size pot should I use and how should it be wired?
Thanks!

I put a 100pf cap on the input jack (connected to sleeve and tip) and it certainly got rid of the radio pickup

BUT it really muffled the tone of my rig, even when the zombii was off. It lost alot of high end. Is this normal? I actually removed the cap because I did not like the way it altered the tone.

I've used on three pedals now and it hasn't been an issue for me. No loss of tone at all. However, that's my rig and home wiring so like the rest of this stuff your results might vary based on the specifics. There are a number of solutions posted. Hope one of them works for your situation. Keep us posted!

Great layout in that box.

It's not unusual for a fuzz pedal to have some RF interference. I built a Mangler and got a beautiful, clear reception of the college station near me. I solved that problem by putting a small 100pF cap on the input
jack. Attach it between the sleeve and tip. Worked great. I also did this with a Lovepedal "Les Luis" and it also worked great. Check out Analog Man's site for info on the range of caps you can use.

Man, that is beautiful! I just scored some old turret boards and tagboards. Can't wait to try them.
Did you make your own board?

Very tidy! Great build and great pics... I love the background, what is that?
Hey, Thanks! The background is the top of an old stool. Lot's of great patina on it!

Very cool, I like the jewel. Is that a regular amp jewel? Mind if I ask you where you bought it?

Thanks! The amp jewel is from Amplified Parts thru Amazon:http://www.amazon.com/AmplifiedParts-Amp-Jewel-Purple/dp/B003KR806Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1325456550&sr=8-2

Shipping is a killer but they have a set of 3 for about 6 bucks and you can pick your colors.

My first vero build, a Nick Greer "Ghetto Stomp" from a layout at http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/

Not a MB project but cool if you like small old amps with a loose low end. This is supposedly a Supro kind of sound. Catches some of that vibe to my ears. I dig it. Stacks well with the MB Grapevine. Easy build and an old school sound with my Strats. Silver Vein enclosure from Pedal Parts and a cool purple amp jewel.

:D Thanks again for all the good words. Considering the unbelievable talent represented on this forum I'm flattered as well as humbled. I wouldn't have had a clue how to do this without all the excellent info and examples here and elsewhere. I've lost all interest in actually buying a pedal. It's too damn fun to build your own ;D

Next up for me is something on tag board. Got some boards on the way from the UK and just scored some NOS turret boards as well. Looking forward to working with those.

How do you yellow the indicator lines on the knobs if you dont mind me asking?
I age the position markers with just a touch of amber shellac using a tiny brush. Great stuff for aging.

This is my first etched enclosure. It's a Honey Bee.... er, I mean Yellow Shark. Really great fabbed board from MBP. Super easy to solder and fired up right away. Very nice low gain pedal. Great for single coils. The graphic elements are from stock vector art. I manipulated that and the type to get the look. The finish is a combination of black along with a metallic brown rubbed into the etch and top surface. Final finish is  clear nitro lacquer from ReRanch.

I meant to ask that; are you a professional photographer?

I have no idea when it comes to taking photos; point and shoot when it come to me  ::)!

Yes, photography is my career. Pedal building is a new hobby. You can check out my work here:
