Ah, yeah, now that you mention it, lol    That's the way I auditioned them, I guess it's not asymmetrical after all, but it sounds good.

Here's my contribution for the upcoming DOD 250 sale to raise funds for Ukraine relief charities.  It's a gray spec (whatever that is) 250 with a couple of different clipping options.  I have symmetrical BAT 46s for a super compressed sound and a pair of 2N7000 MOSFETs for a softer clipping option.  This thing sounds amazing, I try to get a demo clip together later today.

I'm on it guys!  I definitely be doing a layout for this soon.

I just did an extensive audition for clipping options.  I added a switch to my build to select between two options.  I chose BAT 46 (FV=.29) in the 2+1 configuration for the hard option and two 2N7000 (MOSFET clipping) for the soft option. This thing sounds great, I'm stoked.

Has anybody done extensive experimenting with different clipping diodes in the 250+ circuit?  Any recommendations?
