Thanks for all the kind words guys. I had to up my wire game from the last build I posted. That one was kind embarrassing. This is my 4th build.

I thought using a tin would be a cool idea. I am curious if this has been done already? Search function doesn't seem to work for me here. The circuit is a PNP Boost from 99ZuluFX. I reinforced the lid with 12g aluminum plate I think the tin is a little too thin  by it self to be stomping on all the time. I Used sockets for the transistor. I have been having fun changing them out and listening for the differences.

Haha yeah I like how it looks worried like "you aren't going to stomp on my face again". I should start letting her design my pedals now.

Over all I am super happy about this pedal. Sound is exactly what I wanted. I originally wanted the clipping diodes to light up the plate. I didn't want to do a rat with light up eyes because it was done before. But since I didn't want to change the sound and the leds probably wouldn't light the plate to bright. I went with leds on the switch to light the plate. I really wanted to use the clipping leds for something so I found this rat skull pic and used it on a water slide for the decal. I am not happy with the gut shot at all. One it is a mess in there and Two I used all purple wire :/ its all I had at the time. This is one box that I will definitely redo the wire in at some point in time.



I also did this project with my daughter she is 8yo has a daisy rock strawberry  lemonade guitar and a fender mustang 1 amp. It's just a foot switch for changing between two channels. She did the art work and I put it on waterslide decal for her.

I ordered 2 8mm high bright clear red. I am going to see how much it changes the sound.

Thank you. Hopefully someone with light plate experience will chime in. What about changing size of leds? They are 3mm now what if I went to 5mm or 8mm high bright clear?

I just finished it everything works as it should. I bought a light plate for it. I was thinking of using the cliping leds (D1 D2) for the light plate. I want to add more light but don't know if it will effect the sound? Is two leds enuf light for the plate? I have 2 3mm leds now. I don't want to drill and glue leds until I know. Thanks in advance.

Ok so I pulled the trigger and ordered all slow loris parts. Now the anticipation and waiting game starts.

Wow thanks again guys. I am a fitter fabricator by trade so drilling holes is an everyday thing haha. I actually want to start building my own enclosures out of stainless or aluminum. I don't know if any of you are familiar with tig welding but I think an enclosure would look good with weld holding it together.

I see I can purchase the slow loris pcb here but looking through different sites for components is overwhelming. I live in the Pacific North West is there any company that is close or are certain companies that are better to buy certain things from? Maybe one that has a full kit for slow loris? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I will definitely be building more pedals and showing them off here especially if I get even half the praise I got the first time.

Paint was actually just some primer and clear over it. I am not to happy about the lines from the transfer paper were I cut it out. Thats the only thing I would change but I learned for next time so...

Thanks for all the kind words guys. It was the first pcb I ever put together. Any previous experience with soldering and wire tucking was on automotive 12v systems. I didn't realize how small the pedal was until it showed up. Definitely past the point of no return in that rabbit hole haha. I already have every pedal and color and decal scheme picked out in my head. This is one of the most rewarding things I have done recently.

My first build is a li'l echo kit from byoc. I was able to do a waterslide decal on it with some paint and clear. I am proud of the final result everything works as is should first try. Next build is going to be a rat clone. On to pics!
