Build Reports / Re: Lectric FX SH3

Clinton with another banger! Glad you dig after all, one of the best phasers by some of the best guys in diy. It's also really cool that we all prop eachother up and make builds like this a possibility. And trust me, we all fumble here and there, get confident and Monk a build we have no reason to. Decal looks killer, build is solid. I'm sending some goodies your way this weekend to help with some fun builds we talked about and one we haven't lol.

What's this one all about Jimi? I'm not hip to the overdrive game as they all kinda sound the same to me. I've actually never heard of it because boss makes so many pedals, I'm gonna have to look it up. I love the look though, boss always had the coolest looking aesthetic to me. Killing it Jimi!

Build Reports / Jmk test rig V2
« on: May 14, 2022, 06:30:09 PM »
While I have been busy with work/home/and other aspects of guitar I found time the past couple days to put this together. While a test rig may not have the sex appeal of a fuzz or delay, a solid test rig is a necessity and a mainstay on my bench and my most used pedal. This is my test rig V2 as V1 was cramped and the layout has not worked perfectly for me the last 4 years so I wanted to make improvements on this one. In a 1590XX I have room for the bypass to be a stomp switch for testing on my amp. Everything you could ever want: oscillator, headphone jack, audio probe, voltage selector and added side DC jack for powering my looper pedal off one power supply when I'm calibrating something like an analog delay or other BBD pedals. Ready for the next build, make sure you rock it before you box it.

Strong work Drew💪 Any way we could get a sound clip?

I'm using the kompromat on everything. I love it. IMO it's the best for every use. The blend makes it as subtle or intense as you want and unlike other ota comps, Brian used the barber tone press circuit so it doesn't pump on high compression rates. Killer comp.

This is fantastic, is that an etch or Vero? Either way, you can't tell you're new to this, look out we have a new star in the making.

That turned out fantastic Clinton! I dig the graphic and the green LED. Inside is super clean as well. Did you try this cap changes, if so what did you think?

Thanks guys, it's a cool pedal and I see it being used a lot. I may even give up my crappy 15w ss bass amp since this will be all I use now. Thanks again for this project Brian.

I'm not a real bass player, I'm a guitar player faking it lol. Ive been waiting for this project to drop for a simple great sounding bass preamp that can cover a lot of ground for going into the interface and not using plugins.
I straight forward build that is like a ducks butt, water tight. The top leaves little room for error in drilling. The sound is fantastic and can cover so much ground but I think I already found my preferred setting as in the video. Can do punchy or saturated, has a great EQ and the balanced out sounds great.
Went with the trs balanced out as my two notes cabm+ only has trs in, and I plan on using that for bass cab IRs and power amp simulation. Went with a UV print on tayda matte dark grey enclosure. Obvious graphics choice for me. Brian really outdid himself on this one. Video has my preferred setting with my typical 90s style of simple basic bitch playing. Build this, it does not disappoint.

Turned out great Joe, another home run. I'm glad I could help with the direction of the graphics and live all you did with it.

General Questions / Re: Sludgehammer hookup to test rig
« on: April 30, 2022, 12:35:45 PM »
Input to Sludgehammer input; output from Sludgehammer output. You'll have to short BYP1 pads 2 and 3 since it passes through the non-inverting amplifier before the output. Short BYP1 pads 1 and 2 to test the effect in bypass.
Thank you, I was looking at the schematic trying to figure out what to connect together to get it to work on the switch end. everything is working as it should, time to box it up!

I'm having a total brain fart, how would I hook up the sludgehammer to my test rig to rock before boxing?

Oh come on Will, we all know you shot your load on the amp 😂.  Besides I know better, your past that beginner stuff, pedals with more than 3 knobs from here on out 👏👏👏
