Ooh, big fan of both of these circuits. What changes are made to make a buzzaround into a dizzy tone?
c2,c3 and c9-25uf
r8,r9-18k
r2-150k
r3-680k
balance-5kb
sustain-250kc
everything else stays the same
sweet, thank you. I'm going to try this right away.
these are the subs for the madbean bumblebee just to be clear. If you like nasty fuzz you'll love it
I just built this on a fuzzdog buzzaround board. It rips. Thanks for your help. I now have a new favorite.

Outstanding! Glad you dig it as much as I do

Open Discussion / Spa day
April 05, 2020, 06:34:38 PM
It's been a while since I've done a real deep cleaning of my guitars, string changes normally but today I really broke down my #1 les paul and really cleaned her. Fret polish, board conditioning and full setup. I also went down to 10s for a change as i've played 11s for the past ten or so years on gibsons. they feel like rubber bands but it will force me to rethink my dynamics and attack. It took longer than anticipated because Marshall is the center of attention. you guys have any recent spa days with your girls?

Looks great!  The graphic is really cool, get's a lot of depth when the eyes settle in on what it is. What brand are the yellow caps?
Thanks, I think less is more, and more is more too haha. The caps I got on Amazon when I realized I didn't order enough 100n caps for some upcoming builds and had already placed a tayda order. 100 caps for less than 8 dollars shipped with prime 2 day shipping.

Very nice work!

Love the bucky graphic, I am reading the Ed Brubaker run of Winter Soldier. What a comic and what a character.

Super cool.
Bucky is such a cool character with such an amazing arc. I like how the movies pay homage to that arc from the comics. Can't wait for the new show this fall

Had a long week so I needed a big muff. I have built a hoof and a green russian variant and owned the NYC reissue. Built on an Aion board the musket is really nice sounding, or not if you like it like that. The pregain control is what I love about it. I want to build one more muff, an opamp, and between them I could get almost any big muff sound I could want.

I have tried this method of toner transfer and had less than stellar results. I tried it on copper clad board as well. Yours turned out much better than mine did. Maybe I'll try again some time. What paper did you use, I tried many different ones out of different magazines as well as different strength acetone.

Nice. What cans are you using in the Elka? I've got a couple of Buzzarounds that are WIP.
Q1 and Q2 are oc76 and Q3 3ax31c. hfe is Q1 51, Q2 52 and Q3 is 75. Leakage is typical buzzaround leakages. I had Steve at smallbear put the set together for me back in december and just got around to putting it together.

Build Reports / CV build number 2 & 3

Working in a hospital is depressing right now so I decided to build two pedals this weekend while binge watching season 3 of the Ozarks. First up is a fuzzdog magnavibe. Sounds nice and wobbly, I dig it.

Next up is an Elka Dizzy Tone built on a pedal pcb buzzaround. Slight variations in the schematic make a noticable difference to my madbean bumblebee. This thing rips. Thanks for the inspiration guys. Stay safe out there.

Hi Brain, Is the Naughty Fish still coming in April? Or is that Coming Later? Just wondering.

Outstanding! I have one on my shortlist of builds just waiting on the rotary switches to arrive. Everyone is backordered but I found some at microcenter of all places lol. The graphic is perfect and I sounds great! Clean wiring too. On my graphic I put the same chart for the rotary knobs.

thanks guys means a lot. right now this is my distraction from everything going on with covid-19 and all the madness surrounding it. I live that madness as a healthcare worker in a major hospital. working in the OR and Endoscopy work is stressful on a good day and times are really hard at work right now, especially since we are running out of supplies. This community is my saving grace right now. My wife and kids are home and worry I will get it but I have a job to do. You guys and your builds are giving me something to look forward to right now. Thank You!
