Hey folks,

I figured someone here would have some experience with these since they have sold tons of them. I am just curious your thoughts on this amp for 1) a bedroom amp and 2) a gigin' amp. Pros and cons. I have read and heard many things online but just wanted some feedback from folks here.

Thanks.

Nick

I'm speechless....those are fantastic looking pedals man! Love that baby blue Double Flush. I like that layout as well...you can probably nuge that Rate knob with your foot if you are careful.  :o  Any chance on sharing your graphics file? Is that Inkscape or Gimp?

I had a Nomad 55 head for my main gign' amp for about 4years...it was a decent amp. I liked channels 1 and 2 but not crazy about chnl 3. It did love pedals...Chnl 2 sounded great with a Cruchbox and BB Preamp. Used it with a 5150 4x12. I loved the versatility and feature set of that amp. Sold it and several other amps for a Jackson Ampworks Britain 2.0. Enjoy your new amps!

I just bought BC549B from Tayda for my Darkside build....what can I expect different from the "C" version that Brian is recommending? Or, do I need the "C" version for this build?

Thanks.

Nick

I'm curious how the JRC4558D chip sounds?

I just had the same issue with a DC wall wart that said it was 9v but when measured it was 14.97 or so. It provided plenty of hum.

I have done some electronics recycling and got some good shielded cable of varying sizes and lengths. Also some other misc wire that i will be using to test with before boxing. That way i can save my good stuff for the final builds.

I like your build, well done. I especially like the diodes you have sitting there...it reminds me of the flux capacitor!
