I've read about the snarkdoodle in the past, and heard it's quite loud. And I watched some Red Llama videos and that seemed quite loud. Now I've built a snarkdoodle and at full gain and volume it's barely over the sound of the guitar clean. I've got a 1M and s 10k pot in it now. Any ideas why my output would be so low? Anything I should check?

I built the free mugshot I got with my last order. It turned out great and makes a nice booster before other pedals. I screwed up the input jack positioning a little and had to put a big washer to get it lined up correctly. I'm new at building and this was a great project ot learn a lot from. I built it in a big 1590B, just for the space. I've tried to enclose an image.

New to the forum and the site. I don't hink I'm a robot, but the registration process had that fact in doubt. I'm looking at ordering a few boards and building some pedals, but i don't know what the term VFE means. I don't see many posts on the subject either. Is it a site specific term, or a general term?
