Whoa. That light wah looks incredible. What's going on with the LDR? I'm not familiar with this circuit...

The wah is either rate driven by an LFO or by ambient light sensitivity by the LDR next to the footswitch.

So it will cycle u and down like a phaser, with controls for rate , volume and filter.
Or it will work by waving your foot or other body part over it like a wah pedal.
Pretty damn cool. All the files are over at DIY stomp boxes.

Fantastic, really like the Urchin.  One quick q what is the Cap you have used for C20 in the bottom right, looks pretty big for 100pf ?

It's a WIMA 100pF for some reason their small values are chunky.

My first forays into etching PCB

Worked great first time in all cases. Also done a Brown Source but not decaled yet.

First up, the Deep Blue Delay (Madbean Sea Urchin)

The Light Wah, devised by Dead Astronaut on diysb

And lastly a GGG Dod 440. A friend bought the kit and his friend then borked the build, so I gutted and redid the board etc.
Sounds pretty neat!

I built the lite version per the schematic provided and the wah is not very deep effect at all. Sounds almost like tremolo, which itself is cool, but not near the zvex demos. I'm not disappointed just wonder what I can try to improve this. I used a vactrol vtl5c9 as recommended it the BOM.

I might try to take a video today to explain better.
Great project so far and fun to build. It all fits in a 125b but I haven't wired the ins outs and footswitches.

4 6 8 and random work great.

Another question for the v2 board - is it possible to fix the depth as always full?

I spose I could always just wire a trimmer internally that might be an idea!

Good to know someone reads it :)

I stand corrected. I was basically saying what I had heard elsewhere, guess they were off the mark.

I love my echo base but you can never have enough delays and this one is 1590b-able :)
