yep but they are usually loud, ya?  ::)

Thanks for answering my initial question.

Skreddy Lunar Module Deluxe. Used the tagboard FX layout. It works but the max volume seems kind of low for a fuzz.

I had to use some 1/2 watt resistors in a pedal build in a few locations. The output of the circuit at max isn't as loud as I imagined it would be for a fuzz and I was curious if the resistors in question could be a contributing factor?

Looking to build some and I'm a little overwhelmed as they sound great. Leaning towards a Mayo but curious what y'all have to say.

Open Discussion / Table top solder blanket/tarp?
April 01, 2020, 07:35:23 PM
Given the shelter in place, I can't really access my communal shop space where my work bench is.

My girlfriend is using my music desk for work and I want to build some stuff on the dining room table.

I wanted to get protective material to put over the table/my work area. Any suggestions? Doesn't have to be specifically for soldering but something durable enough. to handle if a drop of solder falls on there not to burn through to the table.

Thoughts/suggestions?

I've built some Pitch Pirate clones where I used an electric druid TAP LFO in place of the stock PP LFO.

I have no clue what photocell I used on one iteration I no longer have but it seemed to increase the depth function of the PP circuit. Anyone know what value photocell might achieve this?

That is good to know! Like I said I would be taking the storage On and Off my bench depending on whatever else I'm working on so I'll look for stuff with drawers that stay closed.

Open Discussion / Parts bin storage suggestions

I need some new storage for my parts as they are disorganized and a pain to sort. I already took someone's advise long ago her and have a small tote that is divided in half for resistor and capacitor bags.

I'm looking for a tower like parts bin for various other bits - switches, nuts, washers, knobs, other stuff. Someone that is someone durable and secure as I will be moving it On and Off my work bench at my shop depending on the project I'm working on at that time.

Something like this but open to ideas.

I build the Pedal PCB Pitch Witch and wanted to know if there is a way to lower the speed of the LFO. Any suggestions?

Not to derail the thread but I built a Pitch Witch and the speed range isn't the same as the real PPD. The slowest speed isn't nearly as slow as the PPD and at max speed there is some wining sound.

The layouts online I saw suggested a Vactrol but maybe I should use an LED/LDR combo.

That looks awesome. I think had the center cross be tapped over that would have been interesting. This gives me a lot of ideas for enclosure finishing. Thanks!

7 7/8" L x 6 5/8" W x 1 3/8" H are the dimensions.

Are you talking about the EHX enclosure? The one he is rehousing with can't be 6" + wide

Anyone know what sized enclosure this might be?

So I have a JMK Panner board coming but what about a slight boost circuit to serve as a master volume? Any suggestions?
