Open Discussion / Blend circuit for bit crusher
January 09, 2017, 08:35:17 PM
I'm building the Parasite Audio Bit crusher and I'd like to build a blend control to use with it. There are a few on Tagboardeffects blog and I wanted to know which of those - or any others - you might recommend?

I may also build a boost to use after the circuit. Any recommendations on that? I don't need a lot of boost - it's not meant to be used as a booster usually is - and I'd prefer something that won't alter the tone too much. It would really be used as a Master Volume and a slight volume boost.

I was looking at the "Split n' Blend" on this page:

I have an old Maestro PS-1A that I could never get working right. It passes signal but no phase tones.

I was hoping someone here does repairs and would be repair it for me - you'd be paid to do so, of course.

I might pickup an MT-2 for cheap and wanted to do some mods. Which do you prefer?

Is there any supa trem layouts out there, or the Demeter schematic with supa trem mods?

Open Discussion / Oscilloscope for scope noob on a budget
February 21, 2016, 07:49:43 PM
I'm realizing it would be handy to have an oscilloscope around for testing. I'm looking on craigslist and see a few for around $100. What should I be looking for in terms of specs and abilities for a scope? I'd be using it for things pedal, amp and synth based. Rarely with synths, but should a situation arise where I might need it, I'd like to have something capable of troubleshooting any gear I come across.

There are some EZ and Tektronix ones for $100-150. I'm sure I could talk them down a bit.

Thanks.

I like this pedal but it adds a bit of noticeable noise to my signal chain. I don't mind loosing the the trails of the delay by modding the pedal for TB. I'm wondering though if the Clickless will work with the pedal. The Clickless instructions only shows how to use with Boss and Ibanez pedals.

Thanks.

Nice and 1950BB compatible! I was looking at the Moosapotamus but this seems better.

We've all kind of been pooping our pants over Drolo's twin peaks tap tempo tremolo. I have one that I run into my rub a dub deluxe and it sounds gorgeous. I think he still has some left from the recent group buy. It's definitely the most versatile trem i've ever played, hands down. As far the the reverbs go, you know what your options are with the brick. if I were you, I'd go all out and do a box with deadastronaut's chasm reverb and the twin peaks trem. The chasm can be had here: http://deadastronaut.wix.com/index#!__build-your-own-pedal

Are there PCBs available for the Twin Peaks?

Lots of stuff. Many vintage fuzzes. Measure the gains and leakages.

Details, please.
