Purple, black, whatever!  You keep killin' it lately with these awesome enclosure etches.  Awesome work on the PCB etches as well.

Gotta keep the neighbors thinking that you are cookin up some blue crystal outside the garage... right :)

I had a Tremonti SE about 10 years ago which I loved.  Set neck and dual humbucker setup.  I upgraded the following:

Pickups
Locking Tuners
Nut
Adjustable bridge (to adjust intonation)
Electronics (switch).

I used it as a main gigging guitar and it played like buttah.  I eventually wore the frets down to nothing and ended up trading it away.  Lighter than my pauls but great overall.  For the money, it was a solid performer and fun player, especially for a set neck beast.  If you go into it knowing that you will have to perform a few upgrades for top performance, it is way worth it.

I agree, you might want to try putting a 1M resistor on the cathode (-) of C4 and attach the other end to ground.  Using an optical bypass like the Detour PCB may help too.

Bean, thank you so much for getting this back up and running.  I especially missed the Tapatalk feature as I have been on the road a lot lately.  Everything seems to be working great.  Onwards and upwards!

I have nice tube amps (Fenders up to a Marshall 2555 100w beast) however lately I just picked up a Vox Mini3 G2.

What a great little battery powered (6x "AA") or plug in (included) practice amp.  Built in effects, reverb, delay, tons of different models, mic input... and it can get very loud.  It's perfect for testing pedals, bringing to a small jam session, or just playing around the house.  Highly impressed!

It is amazing how technology has progressed.  If I only had something like this when I first started playing.  :)

I can't log on from Taptalk. Sucks to loose the data but lucky it's not all :)

i will re-install TT soon. For now I want to see if things stay stable for a day or two before making any changes. Then I'll get it back on here.

Thanks Dave...totally missed that!  Kinda strange sorting through all the "May 2015" posts but we will get through it quickly i'm sure.

Open Discussion / Tapatalk Server Down?
January 19, 2016, 09:17:25 AM
Hey Guys,

I know the site went hooters up this weekend...and I'm sure it was a lot of work behind the scenes to get it back to normal.  I was suffering serious MB jones.

Is anybody having any luck with using Tapatalk on their mobile devices?  I am wondering if it's just me or some setting I need to do on my phone.

Great singer.  Great songwriter.
The Eagles doc on Netflix made him seem like an angry and very difficult man to deal with.  I hope he mellowed out and enjoyed his life.
I have spent my life with his music and it has always been a blast to play the Eagles albums and songs live.
Our Rock Gods are leaving us faster and faster.   Their legacies are so huge.

I saw the documentary and thought it would be better titled, "The Eagles:  Why Everyone Hates Don Felder"   :o

RIP Glenn Frey.  There may be rain, but there's a rainbow above you.

Braid works really well especially if you add flux to it first.  A solder flux pen works well for this.

So when will this PCB be in stock?

Lots of goodness going on in there, love the knob placement and crazy amount of tech stuffed in that enclosure.

great feedback guys thanks.

I have a small oven i use for various things non-food related so im covered. I was thinking about the Harbor Freight Gun at 69$ dollars. As for the powders so far ebay is the best i can do for really small amounts of powder. I do want more than 1 color for my boxes. I was hoping to find a sample pack of colors and not spend a mint. I'd hate to waste so much powder/money for one color.  BUT as you said, PC enclosures are hands down more durable. Paint just sucks butt.

Anyone know where to get small amounts of powder? Less than 8oz. or a sample pack of colors maybe?

I recommend www.columbiacoatings.com  They have lots of sample packs in small sizes for you to try.

Hi all. The bass player in the group would like a pre-amp. Any suggestions which one to build?

Thanks

I have two upcoming verified PCB projects which may fit the bill.

The first is the Canned Yam, which is the Yamaha NE-1 (Nathan East) Signature preamp:

The second is the "ChuggaPre" which is based off the TC Electronic Integrated Preamp.
