yeah sure it's really easy, imagine your potentiometer from your expression pedal being in a standard pedal enclosure, and in that enclosure you have two more pots. on the side of the enclosure you put an exp jack and then you connect from there to your CT5 with a stereo cable.
now all that we need to do is choose which of the 3 pots is connected to the exp jack and going into your CT5 or some other pedal. that is being done by the footswitches, they just assign the jack to any of the pots. So I have 3 exp settings to alternate between with my foot.

the other two footswitches are just going between a couple of exp settings so I can go from standard delay to reverse to up a fifth (for example) all with the footswitches while playing. It really makes it killer to use with a band.

This is the part that I'm most interested in! Any chance you'd be willing to share some details on how you made this happen?

I think it's the best pedal ever created, seriously. I needed a month to learn how to use it, and he is adding more functionality every month or two, I regularly download the firmware and put it in to try em out.

Here's a video my friend recorded for it, I was playing here (rather bad but f it) , I even made a controller for the CT5 so I don't have to use my hands nor an exp pedal while playing it. It is a cheap pedal for what it offers, it can do everything you can imagine.
The sounds around 04:50 alone would've justified the purchase for me. It is so much more interesting than the EHX Freeze (that I also have lol)

Sweet sweet success! As I was probing around I found that pins 12 and 11 were shorted together, even though I had checked that multiple times, reflowed solder, ran a straight razor through etc etc. Cleaned it up and now everything seems to be working! I need to get it boxed to really give it a good test, but it all works! Thanks so much Jake, I wouldn't have even thought to test that connection if you hadn't lead me down that path.

Hi Jake,
Yup, detune pot works fine. No oscilloscope, just a vohm meter. Would that help at all? I've tried a different cd4093 and 5088 just to be doubly sure.

I've been working on a Loophole that I'm building on a Haberdasher board. I wanted to add Jakefuzz's awesome mod to it after listening to some samples. The loophole itself works great, and the detune feature works as well, I'm just not getting any vibrato. Here is the build report thread where Jake talks about his completed version of this:

I can't seem to find the thread where he goes over the mod in detail. I guess it may have gotten lost in some of the forum drops. Fortunately I saved what I believe to be his latest version of it so I'll post that here.

My only substitution thus far is a 50k reverse for the speed pot.  I used the ISD1020, not the longer record time chip, but I would assume that makes no difference.
Here are my voltages. For the testing I had the depth pot turned fully CCW.

I bought one from the last run, and it's an incredible pedal! As crazy as the pedal is it's super intuitive, and any setting that involves pitch change tracks really well. Scott is an awesome dude to deal with (mine initially had a problem and he sent me a replacement right away), and I really appreciate the fact that he hasn't raised the price for these a ton. I know they aren't cheap, but I've seen people sell them on eBay for well over 300.00 in-between his build cycles.
I think the Knobs video captures it the best, and fits it's weirdness =)

Hey All. Finally got my first Madbean board all done. I still have a couple ChunkChunks (waiting on decals), and a Gruntbox that needs parts. This is a pretty simple Firebomb with no mods, but one neat thing I did add is a clear pot and knob in the middle "volume" position, with a bi-color LED under it. One channel is Red, the second is Green, and when they are on together it's an off yellow. Enclosure is from PPP, and knobs are from Smallbear. No guts as of yet.

Can't help with all the debuggin', but I can answer the "Lame" is circuit input, and "Metal" is circuit output. Just got done wiring up my first ChunkChunk

I have a Yamaha Pacifica equipped with EMGs that I did something similar to using a push-pull pot. The difference is minor, but it's there (in my case), although I will admit that more often then not I just run it at 18v. There is a small pop when changing the switch position.
