Jon's post put me off, it's actually replacement +1! Damn, I should have seen this, but my brain just isn't working right now. I'll just order some SKII boards.....

First one to successfuly decode it gets a prize from me.   ;D ;D 8)

This is good. I got the feeling that some of the other guys already know what it says, and I can't seem to figure it out (my slow recovery from a weekend of hard partying might have something to do with it....). Now it will be posted here in, like, 5 seconds?

I found myself just as impressed with the fact that he fit 5 chicken head knobs on the thing. I can barely fit 2 or 3 on my builds without them knocking into each other...

I don't want to take away any awesomeness from this (because it is freakin' awesome!!!), but the chickenhead knobs do stick their heads out over the edge of the enclosure. Might have used a slightly bigger one with the same footprint. And yes, gutshots would put us all to shame........ Cool stuff!

So any good source for j201? I don't want to use SMD.
If not, I'll have to buy the expensive ones from Banzai... :'(

These guys http://www.newtone-online.nl/catalog/index.php are a bit cheaper than Banzai. Only a couple of cents for the J201, but they sell the 2N5457 for less than half than what Banzai charges. The site is in dutch, so shoot me a PM if you need help translating/navigating

I'm familiar with Eagle, and I think I can do what you want, given the proper information. This would be:
-A correct schematic
-Very good pics of both sides of the board
-A date when you need this to be done

The last one is quite important, as I can not start right away, next tuesday at the latest. Let me know if you're interested.

If they drop their price even further when you go beyond the 25 pcs (lets say over 100), this screams group-buy!

The only problem I have with George L's is the cost of the plugs. I love the system because of the nice small cable, low profile plugs, ease of use etc. but the price of the plugs is a bit much. They can go faulty, for sure, and always at the worst possible time, but if you carry a wire cutter and some spare feet of cable, you can make a new one really fast. But then, I'm the type of guitar player who brakes a string during the first chorus and manages to change it before the solo........  ;) Making a new patch cable is peanuts!

Paul
So Paul, u are totally the opposite of the 'slow hands' Clapton ;)

Only when it comes to changing strings mid-song. I would not dare to compare my playing kills to somebody like EC.....

Post your science results on TGP!

With the sheer amount of P&W players on there, any lack of discrepancy would only be attributed to the devils work...

Juan, didn't you have access to an original Klon? My mind could be playing tricks on me, so please correct me if I'm wrong..... And I have an extra Kingslayer board I'd be willing to donate to science. How could I have missed this thread for so long!

General Questions / Re: panasonic mn3005 vs mn3011

The important bit is the last line:

The MN3008 is far more available than the MN3011 too, which should be better saved for the repairs of the effects that use it specifically.

I'm all in with Scruffie as to save rare chips to repair vintage units that used them originally. Imagine the pile of discarded equipment our current supply of MN3005's is coming from!
