The Callaham machine work is great, albeit expensive.  Some folks think it sounds massively better, other folks don't (fairly common with that sort of thing).

Some folks say it is a bit bright, but my Callaham strat (which has Callaham hardware obv) is anything but bright.

Congrats, that looks really nice.

I love a good tele.  I've been drawn to them a lot lately for some reason.

I'm personally not a fan because their sizes are all over the place.  I prefer caps with standard lead spacing.  As the capacitance increases, they get rather huge as well.

Thanks oldhousescott!
Anybody with experience using this type of cabling for any purpose recommend a vendor for the supplies?

I would probably check out Markertek first.

Nice job with all of those.  I'm impressed you managed to fit all of the bits in a 1590b on the 4-knob compressor build.

I've got a Custom 5 in my Baker and it does indeed sound very good.

I have a few G&Ls.  They are nice guitars.  I really like the Bluesboys, too.

They aren't any cheaper, but check out the Lansing enclosures.  They make some nice stuff.

I've bought probably about 40 transistors (in lots of 10) from minifux and they were 90% throw aways. Some so leaky they would thermally runaway. Maybe he has some good ones, but I decided to look elsewhere :)

Edit: Ahhh yeah.  They weren't ALL throwaways, I bought one of his 10/10 AC128/AC176 combos.  NPN's were all throw aways, about half of the ac128's were usable.

Some of those leaky NPNs will work in circuits like the Screwdriver

Make sure to measure the transistors from Miniflux.  I got some NPNs from him and they are quite leaky.

It looks a little but like the old Oxford speakers.  It doesn't look anything like the Jensons or CTS speakers I've got in my old Fenders.

It could also be a Utah.  I would do a google image search for Oxford and Utah speakers and see if it leads you down the correct path.

Yep, totally agree with Rob.  Flux pens are wonderful.  I recommend the Kester 186.

While you're at it, a pair of Erem $4 tweezers would be useful too.

Caps.  Much better quality than Tayda.  Much better prices than the small pedal shops.

Wow, what are you going to add for the deluxe version?
