My girlfriend has been having baby fever bad and setting deadlines for creating offspring. I'm into it but trying to consider how to combine the interests of music and children. My hope is that when the kids are old enough, they can play music with me. I know kids tend to prefer things like xbox, kickball, etc. but I can hope for a drummer or saxophone playing child, can't I??? I can think of no better way to create my ideal band other than having children and encouraging them to get good at instruments I need in my band 

Yes, I can confirm my EHX DMM does exactly this. I've come to love the extra dirt and tone coloration though, I was sad when I could not get Memory Boy to do the same thing. My EHX DMM is always having gremlin type issues so I'm slowly building Dirtbag hopefully as a road worthy replacement and I can retire the original to studio use only

That's the design of the DMM....it's the basic function of the Level pot to act as a boost when turned up. If you don't want all the boost you can lower the value of the pot. 250k or 500k audio would be good choices. Or, just leave it turned down.

my trick for this is to drill a 1/4" hole and then slightly file/grind the edges of the hole with my dremel tool - one of the narrow grinding cones. I haven't found exactly the right size bit for this yet..

Are you talking about those vcc lenses?  I have some here, but my calipers are AWOL.  I do have a 1/4" hole drilled in an unused enclosure though, and I just dry-fitted one in there.  I think it might go if I pushed it, but it's awfully tight. I think 9/32 would be better?

Or get a $10 set of step bits from harbor freight and drill that one hole yourself with a handheld drill...

I bought a Pork Barrell PCB of a person on diystompboxes.com forum and unknowingly it was the "version 2" with a 2010 date. So the doc's on the main madbean page don't correspond.

Can someone point me to the PDF for the older version? version 2...

the Poindexter is not exactly like an RM Octavia, so eventually I will have to build one of those too. I actually had a recently made RM Octavia in the spaceship case but it did not sound as good as the older model one my bandmate has. If I build one, I'm going to try to match components as closely to his pedal as I can.

Definitely going to finish the Pepper spray pretty soon.

I want the graphics to relate to music that the pedal "original" was used on. Like for the Deadpool, I will use an Os Mutantes album cover image. For the Pepper Spray I'll use an image related to the midwest rock bands associated with the Harmonic Percolator...etc.

my first completed madbean and my first pedal box with graphics (thanks local fastsigns shop!)
since this is a mutant of the octavia concept, I used a graphic from a record cover that depicts octavias. the record is by my bandmates' old band from the 1990s.

this poindexter will be used primarily on fender rhodes piano for the moment!

glad someone else had this question too! I just got my 2n3565's and the flat side does not correspond/line up perfectly to the 3 pins. Was about to install in my pepperspray and deadpool projects and decided to try sockets first just in case.
