Nope, I can't get over the headstock design and don't really want a pre-amp in my guitar. For the money I'd buy a Suhr or Anderson.

It tends to hold value thou for James Tyler, don't you think? I get it Suhr and Anderson also are nice guitars. Actually, I like the Demeter, I tend to use it to mid-boost my tone for a clean break up a bit. I just don't have a drive pedal on my chain. Idk, I think it's preference for sure

Tyler build quality is superb.

Yeah, I agree with this. It is the nicest guitar I've ever had. I only have one Black Huff and I can tell it is well crafted guitar.

It does have its own sexiness I guess  :D  ;D

I had the acoustic variax 700 for a while. The build quality was really great, the sounds coming out of it were underwhelming.

I didn't know that they made the acoustic version. Interesting

Nah, it's more classic standard 59-shape Fender

Always wanted one of the Variax versions.  Seems to me the necks are a love it or hate it shape.
Like a Wizard II?

Yeah, the Variax is a one-in-a-kind guitar. It can do almost every sound you can imagine (Baritone, drop tuning, etc)

I think I meant to ask about the production guitar like Studio Elite, Classic, Ultimate Weapon, Tylerbaster, or Mongoose. It's an expensive guitar for sure

As the title says, does Anyone have it? I want to get some inspiration; especially their vomit or shmear finish.

I also want to know your opinion about the guitar. The good, the bad, the schmo, and bring back the 80's tone

I use a 6505 so I get it.  Sometimes crunch is heavenly.  Ok that was stupid, church rocks.

Bethel ethereal reverb with ADA MP1 Chorus? That's going to be my EG church for sure with ability to get a shreddy tone

So very very 80s, if you play rock and hair metal they are hard to beat for the thing they do.

Good consistent sounds. Lots of present but...

Only about two or three good sounds in them.

The tone controls don't have minute enough adjustment.

Gotta keep the batteries fresh (most rack units do, and so many are dead from leaky ones).

One or two solid tones are enough. Believe it or not, I plan to use it to play contemporary Christian music. I'm serious, not joking 😂

Well, yes. I agree with you on point for Helix, Neural, Kemper, and so on. I was just curious why this unit gets so expensive on Reverb. Similar to H3000 and TC1210. I guess to get that studio schmo sound was really expensive. Back in the days, owning rack gear was a luxury and seems time hasn't changed much for some staples gear like MP-1, H3k, TC2290, Soldano X88R, Mesa Studio Pre, Triaxis, Yamaha SPX unit and so on. I know you can get most of these sounds on Fractal, Helix, or Kemper so why they are still quite expensive on the used marketplace?

I went to Steel Guitar of North County in Oceanside last week. I tried the pedal steel. It was Red Baron MSI. Man, it was really beautiful, and hard to nail the instrument. A lot of movements and to play it, I was trying to get a feel of it. I didn't get it quite right but was inspired. I might consider learning and picking up lap steel first before going over things like the pull and push lever and the pedals.

Listened to some of Randolph. Definitely, he makes the lap steel sounds like a guitar. Fuzz and wah, wow. I was inspired. I listened to the Got Soul album, very gospel, and the riffs were amazing. Thank you Dan and Dont tase me bro. Great call!

As the title says, ADA MP-1. Tell me about the great, the bad, the good, and the ugly of the unit. Share your experience.

The price of this unit is crazy nuts on Reverb. Some units I've seen listed for $700+

Nice, congrats Jimi. Less time to build pedal, more to config AWS or Snowflake

As the title said.

I need help to get some inspiration on Pedal Steel or Lap Steel Guitar. The good, the bad, the love and hate, famous player to get inspired, and the list go on. I'm digging country now and really love how it sounds. Purely magical in some country and rock licks that I've never done exploring it. I'm trying to get out from my comfort zone and learn this beautiful instrument.

Alright folks, let's go!

FYI there was an American company that made a Tri Stereo Chorus clone:

http://www.rtelectronix.com/pThreewaychorus.htm

I have one, but have never ABed it against the TERC, which I also have

I heard about these guys. It's gotta be rack unit though to get that schmo lol

Well joining the marine or navy as a dentist is considered a promising career as well.

Is that output being fed to the Left and Right chorus inputs? Or, does it run in parallel with them?

In general, I think it will run in parallel with Left and Right. There are two modes that you can stack them together as well. I'm still in the process tracing the board. Just had to do more photoshop and put them on transfer paper.

Man, that is really sad. 2023 starts with the great Beck passed away! Without him, there will be no Andy Timmons or Dann Huff
