cant comment on the specs of the device but what I know is the CT5 has the best tone of all delays I have ever tried, it is just so present in a band mix and it keeps my guitar tone uncompromissed at all times, it's regular delay is even more pristine than the Boss units
#32
haha there is one actually recorded but it never did see the light of day!
I will have to urge my friend to produce it soon, the audio and video is in his folder somewhere... I just have to send him some good pics of the controller itself

oh it's nothing much really - https://www.instagram.com/p/BGtLIylqPPH/ (I just can't find a better picture)

it's a TH Custom Pro-cessor with one of the sends foot-mutable so I am actually giving CT5 the ability to have delay tails, and the other two footswitches are just going between a couple of exp settings so I can go from standard delay to reverse to up a fifth (for example) all with the footswitches while playing. It really makes it killer to use with a band.

I wasn't interested to be honest, he does say somewhere on his videos that it is some sort of ... ah, I found it

"ct5 is built around a 32-bit arm based mcu from st (stm32f4 series). i never used the fv-1, it looks fun, but from the specs it is pretty weak compared to stm32 or any other high powered mcu on the market right now."

I think it's the best pedal ever created, seriously. I needed a month to learn how to use it, and he is adding more functionality every month or two, I regularly download the firmware and put it in to try em out.

Here's a video my friend recorded for it, I was playing here (rather bad but f it) , I even made a controller for the CT5 so I don't have to use my hands nor an exp pedal while playing it. It is a cheap pedal for what it offers, it can do everything you can imagine.
The sounds around 04:50 alone would've justified the purchase for me. It is so much more interesting than the EHX Freeze (that I also have lol)

Thanks chuck! means a lot coming from you, I love your builds to death!

You guys... thank you so much!

Last night I rehearsed with the pedal and it worked flawlessly and the sounds was fantastic. I've tried all the three modes, with clean and dirt coming into the pedal and it handles everything too well! Just a fantastic little pedal, thank you Jon!

Thanks playpunk!

Concentric pots? I got mine from Banzai Music and I believe Jon regularly gets his from Smallbear

thanks gents!

not so genius though, Jon did it a few times with his, I just copied him doing it! the concentric pots are f-in fantastic, really really save space and just look bithin don't they!?!

Sounds amazing! Thank you Jon for a fantastic project and for all your help. I thank all of you for getting me through this build. I've had so many difficulties with this build, mainly to do with parts, so the build spanned through a couple of months but it's finally here!

This time I went for a bit more adventurous look with the faceplate, it's not 100% symetrical, lol, but I am not bothered by it. Since everybody always praises my ability to "etch" immediately after I post a build report, Imma just say it right away - noooo, it's not etched :D it's laser engraved by a local shop, I only do the design in Inkscape.

Jon, I don't know what kind of 1590Bs Banzai sells but the board got in comfortably, I do have it a bit to the side and not completely parallel to the enclosure but had the concetric pots been a bit lower it wouldn't have to stand like that. But yeah, you know how it is, it's always a balance between the positioning of the knobs and overall aesthetics and how you manage to pull it off inside.

I noticed ticking just this morning. So what I did was to wrap the entire output jack in copper adhesive tape and I wrapped a thick shielding cable inside the jack, that cable then went to the TH Custom Nope Relay little pcb so the output ended up being shielded throughout it's path through the enclosure. That solved it completely. Silent as it could be. I felt such relief.

That's it! I definitely needed some tremolo in my life. After some time I started distancing myself from the kinds of effects that overtake a guitar's sound completely and turned to effect types that build on top of what you already have and can be stacked together. So now I am into Univibe, vibrato, tremolo that sorta stuff. I used to be a major phaser guy, but now just find them to be too obscuring of the guitar sound, so what I like are the more mild variants like the PS-1A that I am still to fully debug although it's fully functional just distorts a little.

Cheers guys!

Insane, I love everything about it!

I am a sucker for octave fuzzes so any project gets my vote automatically. And the Octavia is a great one!!

Hey guys, apologies for not answering sooner, I was away visiting relatives.

Matmosphere - I will send this to you tomorrow! Will let you know once it's done via PM.

dbp512 - sorry for this but good old Brejan approached me on Facebook so I am giving him the other one. Sorry bro!

The faceplate has been done for this build, I am collecting it in an hour, then drilling, then setting everything up, I should have the build report by tomorrow morning. Excited to add this to my board, it's a great pedal. Thanks everyone for helping me endure through this, it feels good to have completed a pedal finally, I haven't built anything in months.

That has to be the funkiest looking pedal I've seen in recent years. The color combination really appeals to me, man, you did a fantastic job, it looks AMAZING in and out

Heh, yeah that's my fear as well, that I will constantly move something accidentally, but I do agree that they are needed to use the pedal to it's fullest. Great tremolo, really just what I wanted. Harmonic mode can do some whacky sounds as well, not something that I will use but it could come in handy.

I am going for a 1590B, because you know me, I love it when it hurts! Hah!

I do have more for the troubleshooting crew though. It seems that every pedal I make distorts when it shouldn't. I have my beautiful PS1A doing that as well as my Loophole. God if I could get rid of that distortion that would make me so happy. Gotta start the threads for that as well I suppose. I count on you gents to help me with that!

Tell you what, I'll PIF the other 2 tapflos. Feck it, your help gents is much appreciated and I often need it, so it all levels out lol.

Matmosphere send me your address, you'll get it for the price of shipping. Cool?

Cheers!
