This is a demo of the Mephisto (1590A Stone Grey), based on the superb Madbean Rainy Day schematic.

I want to share with you my last tetris works. Warning: there's a lot of porn inside!  ;D

The first one is a Rub-a-Dub reverb (by 1776 effects/JRM, thank you a lot), I've re-drawn the layout to fit in a 1590A. I think I've succeeded!  ;D

And the second one is a Mosfet Buffer in a 1590H box... I didn't know before I start but there's room for a 3PDT (in place of the DPDT toggle)!  :o

[Warning: Italian guy trying to write in english.]
Hi Folks!
This is project based on the Sansamp Bass Driver, a really great bass preamp, D.I. and Overdrive pedal.
The first picture is the deluxe version.
I've modified its circuit to increase the saturation amount (the Push selector on the Right), I've added a clipping section selectable (1N914/None/Led, the Texture selector on the Left) and I've added a second channel switch with Volume and Drive knobs.
In the second picture you can see 2 BassHoles with the same layout but without the Texture and the Push selectors.

Here's a video:

It's only a preview of my last Tetris work on resizing the really good sounding Rub-A-Dub Reverb (by 1776 Effects/JRM).
It works, but I haven't finished the graphics yet.

General Questions / Bass Driver with Send/Return
February 23, 2014, 12:41:09 AM
Hi guys!
I'd like to add a Send/Return to a great bass pedal and DI, the Tech 21 Bass Driver.
Can I put it between SW3 and C21?
I want the bass driver distortion and the other send/return pedals to go in the DI section of the pedal . Is this the right way?

Mammoth build using the Madbean's Sabretooth etchable pcb
Really nice sound fuzz, tested both with guitar and bass

Trinity Feedbacker build using my personal layout (here's the thread: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=8392.0 )
I've found that the Tone pot wiring is inverted (1, 2, 3 in place of 3, 2, 1...)
I've jumpered the 39k resistor and used a 10K B pot for the Mids... it seems much more usable!

Hello guys! Here's my Filthy Animal, a Fat Bastard clone, that I assume is an improvement of the Fat Boost.

Build Reports / 1590A Crusher (Crunch Box)
February 09, 2013, 09:33:01 AM
Hi guys!
This is my version of the great Crunch Box with the Presence/Cut pot and the Clipping Toggle to switch between 2 LED (Classic Marshall-Style) and 4 germanium 1N34A (too similar to the LED, I think I'll change them to 3 1N914)
Here you can find my layout, it's really easy to put it in a 1590A!

I like its vowel-like voicing so much, it seems to bloom in every bending I do!  8)
Here's some pics

Build Reports / Mushroomizer (Afterlife)
December 15, 2012, 01:01:32 AM
This is my first 1590A pedal.
The name: I don't know why but when I heard it for the first time, with the settings of the pic below, I just thought of mushrooms popping here and there!  ;D
The 1UP pot is the Midwayfair Sensitivity mod, really useful!
All the components except for the jacks are standard size components.

Tech Help - Projects Page / Increase Boneyard Gain
August 15, 2012, 12:27:25 PM
Hi guys!
I'd like to increase the Boneyard gain, I used an 1M pot for the Hi-Gain mode but it seems not to sound as Heavy Metal Gain! :)
Thankfully it doesn't squeal even if I didn't use shielded wire, so I think I can increase it a bit without any noise issue...
#18
Boneyard with volume mod (one more pot for High Gain mode).  8)
No shielded wire and, thankfully, no squeals or other kind of noises!  ;D
High Gain pot upgraded from 250K to 1M, no audible differences.

And a pic of my pedalboard

Guitar > Buffer > Wave Modeler (Ibanez Cp9) > Looper IN (3 Loops: 2 distortion loops and 1 modulation loop) > Plexi Drive (Boneyard) > Mephisto (Rainy Day + mod) > Looper Return A > Boogeyman (Chunk Chunk + mods) > Kraken (Uproar) > Looper Return B > Canova 2.0 (Sea Urchin) > Chorus/Tremolo (Pork Barrel + mods & EA Tremolo + mods) > Delay/Reverb (Sea Urchin + mods & Rub-A-Dub Reverb + mods) > Looper Return C > Amp

In the grey case I'll probably put the Buffer, the Wave Modeler, a booster with bass/treble pots (Fat Boost), an Acoustic simulator (Woody) and the Current Lover (This will be a pre-distortion multi pedal)

Open Discussion / Road Rage for 9+ & 9-
July 17, 2012, 10:33:27 AM
Hi guys!
I want to build a Woody Acoustic Simulator and the circuit requires 9+ and 9- or two batteries.
Can I use the Road Rage in this project? Should I use the "-9v operation" layout?
Thanx  ???
