Really nice graphics and very clean wiring! Where do you buy those small electrolytics?

Same problem, the led blinks right but the repeats are out of synch. I've tried 2 different taptation kits, 2 different sea urchin boards and 2 different pt2399 chips: delay totally out of synch (or useless tap tempo, if you wish).

General Questions / Bass Driver with Send/Return
February 23, 2014, 12:41:09 AM
Hi guys!
I'd like to add a Send/Return to a great bass pedal and DI, the Tech 21 Bass Driver.
Can I put it between SW3 and C21?
I want the bass driver distortion and the other send/return pedals to go in the DI section of the pedal . Is this the right way?

I've done this one! Verified! You can choose what to put inside your 1590A

Is the tube llama just a switching of the one resistor on the toggle switch to give it more gain, or is it more than that?
Yep, it's the R7 mod, 10M

Thank you!
My Mephisto is based on the Rainy Day Schematics, that I supposed is based on the Stone Grey schematics, there are no mods on my version.

If there's someone interested in the Mephisto and Red Llama layouts I can upload 'em on the project board.

Have you ever heard this pedal?http://youtu.be/SqijZmqKUQM

I can't find anything 'bout it, no layouts, no schematics, nothing!

OK nice. I want to build a small amp to lay down on my bench to test the circuits... Maybe this is a good option

I uploaded the layout!

Sweet jobs Man
What can you tell us about the ruby amp? Loud?

Inside there's a LM386N4, at 9volt it should be a 1watt amp, maybe something more.
Well, it's loud! I use it as a headphones amplifier and with the volume pot around 10 o'clock it's loud enough to tear my ears apart!
I've used it with a 150 Watt speaker and it sounded good too.

1590A Tone Bender mk II with onboard voltage inverter

Tone Bender mk II without voltage inverter and a strange vintage box!

Plexitone/Boneyard with two Level pots (one for the crunch, one for the Higain)

Zero Point Micro with modulation switch & pots

Sea Urchin with 3 presets + Rub-a-Dub reverb with boost pot and (inside) tone pot

Noisy Cricket/Ruby Amp with several mods

My wine box guitar tuned GDAD (sometimes GDAE) + Hot Red Head + Clean Amp Cabinet (in a chinese box)

4 transistors as usual!  ;D
I've drawn this pcb layout to fit easily inside a 1590A (leaving space for the jacks too)...
so in a 125A there's plenty of room!
You can find my etchable layout in the link, if you wanna build a little (really little) monster... I suggest you to do the Feedback mod... it's crazy but really playable!

Mammoth build using the Madbean's Sabretooth etchable pcb
Really nice sound fuzz, tested both with guitar and bass

Trinity Feedbacker build using my personal layout (here's the thread: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=8392.0 )
I've found that the Tone pot wiring is inverted (1, 2, 3 in place of 3, 2, 1...)
I've jumpered the 39k resistor and used a 10K B pot for the Mids... it seems much more usable!
