Pure awesomeness and work of titan! Congrats!
I think you can stuff almost anything in these boxes  ;)

Sorry if there are some here but....a lot of cops are stoooooopid! Especially the ones with the batman syndrom, thinking they are the only one able to see bad guys hidden in the crowd, that the city will be doomed without them!
When I was 20 with piercings and trash metal look, I used to drive my father BMW with my girlfriend, so I had lots of controls, thinking the car was paid with cocaine shop benefits  >:(
BTW I once went to Amsterdam with 4 friends (we were around 22) and we all kept a 5 grams of lacal grass for home relaxing and when we arrived at the France frontier, the police guy watched us with his most irritated pitbull face. I think we all had sweat on our faces but he let us pass... He should have decided to control old mens with caravans this day  ;D

:o impressive! After a weener, I was going to build a V846. Looks like you are in an other level as mine!

Gain matters but don't have to be precise, you won't hear any difference between 100 and 110 of hFE for exemple. I usually sort my GEs in 50-100 100-150 and 150-200 range... Plus as you told, as you heat the trannies with your fingers, the value changes!

General Questions / Re: Plans
November 09, 2012, 10:12:57 AM
Hi! Welcome to the forum!
You can use the general wiring diagram on the link of previous post.
You will receive the boards from Madbean with no other docs than the PDFs available at the ordering page.
I encourage you to browse this forum, a lot of newbies have started as you do here and there are lots of interesting Q/A to find. You can look at the build reports pics to see how members are used to place components in the enclosure, there are lots of ways to do that! Trial/errors/lessons learned is what all of us has faced several times.
You can already find a massive amount of informations in the "how do I/beginner's paradise" "general discussions" "debugging" threads", but if you have some specific questions feel free to ask, everyone is really friendly here!

Cheers

I think he possibly used the Autorouter on his PCB layout software.

Either that or he had half a bottle of scotch before he did it  :D

Yeah looks like he had no more than 5 min. to spend on the Pcb design between 2 shots of whiskey...
There are lots of vias for such a big Pcb, plus some weird trace forms, looks like modern art!

This is really awesome! Do these boxes take scratches easily?

Appart that I recently had a surgery with a few cuts in my spine, so I can't drive until January, and that my spoken English is poor, and that I'm boring to death....I'm always here when I can drink some Belgium beers with cool guys :)
A geek convention needs a dress code, just in case everyone's afraid of people talking about 3pdt Tl074 russian GEs and VTL5c3...
I think Holland is great place for talking about Pots :p

Less components = less noise in theory...

Open Discussion / Re: Question about diode type
September 28, 2012, 02:02:31 AM
Thanks for these answers, I wish I could understand everything...
I know that OP-amp can work to sum or amplify signals, and they are supplyed by a Vcc ref voltage and a Vee, and I haven't been further than that actually. I feel like I need some electronics teaching now  ;)

Open Discussion / Question about diode type
September 27, 2012, 02:37:16 AM
Hi guys!
I'm working on a layout for a MXR M108 ten band EQ. Found a schem for it but there are 3 unknowned diodes on the layout (D1 D2 and D3). Looking at the guts can't help because they are smt diodes on the original, and looking at the schem they are zener protection diodes.
Can somebody share his knowledge and suggest a model that would suit the build? I forgot to mention that it runs at 18V.
Thanks a lot
