They can be pre coloured, you can spray paint or even use sharpies

I have built the kit and played a friend's original and they sound the same. This is a noisemaker, there's a lot of hiss, and if you use the starve pot, as soon as you stop playing a note there's a really annoying loud bleep sound...
I stopped playing with it quickly, I prefer more classical vintage fuzz tones or use fuzz factory or scrambler for extreme fuzz.
Please not that nobody has verified my layout yet...

My first build was a fuzz factory in a 1590BB and I felt there was not enough space in the box. Great job!

I sometimes use CTS pots, they are used on some guitars pots, high reliability but a bit expensive...

You are right, forgot that belton need a fair amount of supply, so I need to reverse the regulator because 78l05 and 7805 have different pinout...
