Isn't this faked?

I swear I saw something how someone overdubbed a lame guitar track on top of this...

...or maybe that's just my faith in humanity speaking. No one could be this lauded and sound that bad...right?

I get 24awg silver stranded wire teflon insulation. the teflon never melts witch helps when you need to desolder or make changes. I use 22awg solid core for anything I want sharp right angle bends. I use the insulation fro the 22 gauge for insulating led legs or componant leads it fits snug enough and looks neater than shrink wrap in certain situations. I also have some sheilded 22 gauge teflon for inputs and outputs on projects where radio inerference is likley. it works well for pedalboard power cable making. I get it from ebay. always a huge selection of colors available.

the wrinkling is probably caused by the 2nd coat being too thick and wet. the solvents from that coat burn into the under coat and softens it till the paint film lifts and swells, causing the wrinkled finish. i wouldn't bake until it has all the coats as baking causes the finish to shrink. you want all the layers shrinking together if you take my meaning. fish eyes are usually cased by a contaminate on the surface. make sure you sand and degrease the encloser before priming. and do not touch it after. I wear powder free latex gloves when handling preped metal. the salts and oils from your fingers will penetrate to the surface no matter how many coats you spray.

that's what eye use regularly. doesn't make my eyes water like regular muriatic acid. I found the etch times a bit slower but still much faster than ferric chloride.

I love my Taylor 414CE. Easily the best guitar I have ever owned. Super fast neck, comfortable shape and size, projects well and has a great tone.
If you need smaller, you can go with the 412CE. I really liked it, but it doesn't sound quite as full as the 414, plus it is a bit quieter.
But yeah, my 414 is my go to acoustic. I will never sell it or buy another acoustic again (unless I need a baritone!)
-P
I had a taylor 614ce that was amazing. the body shape was very comfortable seated or standing. the back and sides were a stunning flamed maple with made it really stand out with other instruments in a band setting. the expression system has a powerful eq and was the best amplified acoustic tone I've ever tried and It played better than many electrics in terms of string height and action. the tension was such that a full step bend was very easy to execute without any extra stress on my fingers. the string spacing was wide enough for clean fingerstyle playing. I would think with some due dilligence a used one could be had for around $1200 to $1400.

this is perfect for what I would need in a looper. particularly for laying down a simple 1 chord vamp or simple progression for me to wrap my head around unfamiliar chords. which is how I usually tend to use a looper. I would imagine the price is gonna be quite low if the retail value of the flashback is any indication. I would expect it to be $100 or less. I bet this will set a trend particularly among the chinese knock off brands.

I've been thinking of slanting comercial boxes for a while lately... but the fact that the switch wont fit unmodified never occurred to me. glad you posted this. It's nice to have severals brains filling in the several gaps in mine.

Have you tried Pixel Print?
I haven't tried their stripboard but I've never had a problem with their pad-per-hole perfboard.

there stripboard is the best I've ever tried. the large gauge is great for fuzz's and anything without IC's

Also added a vibe mod, which sounds subtly, but nicely, different to the normal tone, bit darker and "suckier"

I always thoughta good description was "chewier"!

the original memory man used them as well as the ada flanger and original mxr117 flange. I've still got a few chips that are still packaged that I can't decide what to build with. most sad1024 circuits have a later mn3007 counterpart that is easier to find a varified project for. I think ggg still has a electric mistress layout for that chip. and the is a daughterboard layout to make it through zero on arrons forum.

I wonder if it would sound better in the loop?

I agree it's hard to beat an echobase :)
almost any time based effect does ( to me at least) color one's tone for any of a number of reasons.
I always run delays and reverbs in parallel for the reasons the op described. a mega function delay monstrosity  has a lot of machinery to pass your signal through...some tone colorization is to be expected. maybe a parallel-izer would help(with the tone coloring at least)  tc probably will improve the product with firmware updates. they are really good at responding to consumers (see Ib mods etc...)

I think with the market so competative sometimes there is a rush to realease effects without enough refining.

check out www.highlyliquid.com if you want to build a voodoo labs gcx type midi switcher diy. I'm working on a midi controlled rack wah at the moment using there stuff. there programing language seems doable enough without too much homework. they have a pretty good forum going on too. sb carries all that molten voltage stuff.
