Wow, congrats on the well filled year, lots to be happy with right here!

This is an interesting subject! I haven't ventured yet into Baritones and i don't really know why, i've been playing in tunings lower than B for years and currently very fond of Drop G on my 25.5" 7 String but poor girl is taking a beating trying to hold those tuning and tension...

I sure do not have the same tone timbre or frequency range as a baritone even at those lower tunings but what jwin15 brings up is something i had to deal with and understand how to counter balance throughout the years.

Cables are indeed a huge factor on getting that thick signal to the amp and i've couple years ago upgraded my whole cabling with LavaCables and Evidence cables. I've also been running a buffer in front of my signal chain forever to keep things in check and i can't recall the exact values as we speak but i use a Klone type buffer and it's tweaked to be a tad brighter.

Lastly are the pickups, the best results i always got is with low to medium output pickups, nothing about 15K, i play Grindcore, TechDeath and other stuff like that but mostly fast paced, note packed stuff so clarity and definition are mandatory otherwise nothing goes through. One of my favorite 6 strings is a TVMaster with a TVJones Hot Rod, guitar have always been tuned in Drop B and it just slays! Also, if i had to choose, all my low tuned guitars would have a Maple Neck, the added snappiness compare to ebony or rosewood is significant in the overall attack and dynamic to picking hand response.

I think that what IG scrollers are after is not what a professional photographer would think is needed, you're dealing with sweepers that have 1 second at most of attention span, you have to instantly get their attention without giving it all at once, otherwise they will just swipe to the next. By keeping a bit on the back end, you force that attention to stop on the matter at hand and swipe through your post. Now that you've satisfied the curiosity, you get a like and if you're able to get them to stop that way at each of your postings, you'll get a new followers.

I agree. If you can run it through a filter, like maybe the enhance in photoshop, you can enhance the reds making them a little more vivid. I like shiny and colorful things. But then again, I am a bass player. [emoji1787]

Thank you for the advice mate but... ...i posted this picture as an example of how i tackle my Instagram account posting with other details pertinent as to keep the posts pertinent and relevant in the algorithm on the long term run. If you look at posts by other members prior to me posting that reply, i was asked to expand on how i manage those thing so that's what i did.

Also, going through photoshop, filters and whatever, it's diminutive results for the time and actual gain obtained, keeping it simple is what works. Unless you actually have an account on which the content produced is highly focused on photography and that you've build up a niche audience for that particular type of content. But the goal here is more about getting new followers in by using the visual impact to then lead them to the media you're promoting.

Thanks guys! Weirdly enough the knobs were done before the pedal a year or two back, I just don't like throwing stuff away if it could be useful - they're rattle can overspray and the pedal is alcohol inks under a decal.

I did the PCB, I thought I could cut out a lot of the circuit but had to keep adding jfets back in cause of stereo until eventually realised I shoulda just done a 1:1 clone 

Haha, it all makes sense now, i've starred at the enclosure picture for several minutes yesterday trying to comprehend how the color could end up being layering that... ...and had that instant flashback of CultureJam old inked enclosures. The overspray on the on knob tricked me real good! Loving it even more!

Can you manually set the aperture on that thing? That's what sets the depth of field. I'f you can set it to a small number like 16 or higher (2.8 is a higher number than 16, in this application.), you can manually focus on the center of the subject, making the close up and far away in focus.

I manually set where i want the focus, the idea is to have the image to not be completely clear, i explain in the write up.

This is one style of photography that i use a lot and have great response with, trying to get some depth out of something that actually doesn't have much. If i was to make a complete post with this picture as the "opener", my next picture would focus on the details that i want to show most but keeping the same approach of having individual portions in focus, the rest blurry... ...it kinda force the user to engage in the post and scroll through all the pics and will likely bring them to push that like button.

Also, most of the "posting guides" you find on IG or other social media resources will tell to only use 5 or 10 hashtags, that's BS. The 5 to 10 first hashtags in your post are those that will generate the immediate response and follow up for the next 24 hours, so you should focus on the strongest for those first. The following ones are as important but you should be more vague about the targeted audience so you get a broader range and that will help to keep your post relevant and pop up in the search and explore page.

Beside that, about the photography itself, i'm no photograph at all, i just enjoy it. For the small stuff like this, i use a 30$ Amazon light box, it's what i've been using forever now. I'm using an off grid Pixel 3 phone with all the auto focus, filters, recognition, etc disabled. The only edit i do on my pictures is cropping them to a square so i get the full screen without border cut from IG. Reason why i don't use filters or any other edit is that as you layer filters on your source image, once it's treated by IG compression it ends up making it more "grainy" and you lose contrast and pop. So i'll just position the matter to be picture where i want it, place my phone and let it be exposed at least 5 seconds before taking the picture.

So yeah... ...that's my way to do things on IG, might sound like a lot with the novel i just wrote down but it's actually a no brainer, no real technique needed, straight to the point approach!

I'll try to make another exemple soon, with a complete pedal, gut shots and what not as if i was to do the promo of a new product and lay it down here.

Rej, to answer your question, we drove from Wisconsin all the way to Montreal. I received a large parking ticket in the old Montreal area when I did not see the "livres seulement" sign near my parking spot.  I could understand what it said, but it was kind of hidden!

Gotcha, that's a decent road trip for sure!  Hope you had a good time up there, i haven't went in Montreal for the last 3 years i think and i don't really miss it, i'm quite happy in my Boreal Forest, moose and black flies hahaha!

But yeah, that was a parking spot for Delivery Only, Montreal and Quebec province overall are soooooooo narrow minded toward the use of English on signs, i won't start on that or i'll write another novel lol!

Ah I spelled it wrong! Paul Feig is a director who has done both television and film work. He has a habit of letting actors improvise too much, even when the end result isn't good, which can actually be very unfunny and break immersion in the setting. The improv comedy that works best (outside of something like 'Whose Line is it Anyway?' show) is something like the US version of the Office, but good grief that Ghostbusters remake was the second worst thing about 2016. He's not the only one who does this, but he's the first person who came to my mind.

Fallout is dark humor, not sitcom humor. Anyway, end of my rant 

Oh gotcha, i get it now! Indeed, if it compromise the immersion, especially in fantasy/sci-fi stuff its not the best card to play.

Just watched the video. Rick makes two suggestions: 1) a license should be required to use music as part of a training data set, similar to the way there are sync or public performance licenses. 2) Anything that's 100% AI generated should have no copyright.

The first suggestion is reasonable and probably pretty uncontroversial. The second suggestion is subtly subversive. It assumes that AI is incapable of holding copyright. Tacit in his suggestion is the ineligibility of AI for legal personhood. That may or may not be a good thing, depending on your perspective. It also begs for a testable standard to be set for what is 100% AI and what is a significant human contribution. I imagine similar language to what is currently used to test "fair use" could be used: "Was the human contribution transformative of the original AI output?"

Any legal framework they do put in place will definitely be tested in the courts (read lots of lawsuits!) here in the states at least.

The same process/forum/discussion is also taking place here in Canada, i'm a registered member of the SODEC, the governing body for artists up here, every month i receive my .25cents of royalties LMAO! But beside that we also receive emails about the current state of the music in Canada, the change to copyrights and intellectual properties and all that stuff. We've been receiving a lot of documentation lately in regards of the implication of AI in music production so we're aware of how it can and can't be used. The defining lines are still blurry as they're in USA. But i find it to be an excellent tool to stay in the loop of what's going on and stay well informed.

A close friend of me owns a motion picture production company and they're also in that same process of educating and building the guidelines for the laws and regulations to come.

It will for sure be a total legal shitshow once the regulating bodies comes into play, no matter on which side of the border you're standing, since your music, art, picture are usually globally available or broadcasted.

If you can, run a grounding wire from your equipment to a cold water pipe. Years ago I did that in an apartment and it was dead silent afterwards. PEX won't work obviously. If you own the place drop a grounding spike into the ground. Your life is not settled until you are properly grounded. :-)
