Requests / Re: Sub-mini tube amps

Shit yeah! I'd be in for at least one or two of those. If you could find a way to do something like Rick's submini FireFly, that would be boner-ific!  ;D

I still can't believe that nobody has put together a project with the Zvex Nano schematic and info at FreeStompBoxes.  ???

Dude. That is so far over my head that I can only say "rock on!" and clap.  :D

Requests / Re: an easier flanger?

Over at DIYSB, solderman posted a cool project based on the Guyatone flanger, which uses a MN3207/MN3102 pair. I think it sounds great. I'd actually like to see that one done up as a madbean project, because I don't care for solderman's all-in-one layout (it has the 3pdt pads on the board).

My build is actually kinda noisy, and I'm not sure if it's a layout issue (probably not) or a little too much gain or something else.

Bean, have you noticed this in your latest layout?

Requests / Re: Red Ross Flanger?
December 04, 2010, 05:57:47 PM
Sorry to dig up old shit, but I just got a red Ross Flanger in a trade. This thing sounds *awesome*. The board layout is also quite nice, and it seems like it would be relatively easy to do a straight copy of the artwork (and maybe tighten it up a bit).

The Reticon ship is definitely an issue, but I figured I'd only every build one of these anyway.  :)

The "In Jack" and "Out Jack" refer to the Tip lug of of the input and output 1/4" jacks, respectively.

I made this one a while back. It's just for the 3PDT, but I've built probably 60 or so pedals with this scheme, so it definitely works. :)

Open Discussion / Re: PT2399 part for Eagle?

That would be awesome.

My idea, by the way, is to use a PT2399 to do modulation and NOT use it as a proper delay. I think it would be cool if there were a project to build a chorus/vibrato type effect without resorting to expensive/dodgy old chips, and also with a minimal parts count.

I'm not 100% sure it will work, but I'll give it a shot. I've just posted details here:

Actually, I just used the generic 16 pin op-amp used in the Guassmarkov library, so there's nothing special about it. It's the DIL16 package.

Then how did you draw up the schematic to show the whole IC as a single rectangle with pin numbers?

That's what I really want to be able to do.

Open Discussion / PT2399 part for Eagle?
March 25, 2010, 01:46:44 PM
Brian,

I figure you must have made a PT2399 part for Eagle since obviously that's what is used in the Doombutter.

I'm working on a delay-based project at the moment, and I really could use the 2399 in Eagle.

Would you mind sharing this? Or could I have the Eagle file for the Doombutter so I could import the part into my library?

Thanks!

PS - If the project works out like I hope, I'll be sharing it with the community at large.

Yes sir, that has got some steampunk-esque qualities. Very nice.

I built the Macheen way back when madbean first made the layout:
