General Questions / Re: Enclosure Etching Failure
June 25, 2012, 11:42:37 PM
Yes.  Use a sharpie marker to fill in the gaps around the edges.  Do not worry about the paper.  It is just extra protection from the solution.  Even the second attempt could have been salvaged with some patience and a straight edge.  The enclosures have a lot more mass than our copper boards and thus never get as hot.

I have had a lot of headaches from that design.  I swore off them in the 80s.  TDPRI has good buzz about gfs right angles.  But quite precious, but half of George L's

If I exclude C6, C7, and C8, and R7 and R8, would I need a jumper on the switching pads to just exclude the switch altogether and have just the Rock mode.  I do not care much for toggle switches.

I was thinking cream, but the black is quite pimp.

Mods / Grapevine rock/rawk switch wiring
June 13, 2012, 07:02:33 PM
I am finally building my grapevine I purchased 18 mos ago.

I want to wire the rock/rawk switch 3pdt switch and I am not skilled enough to lay it out.
I have read posts from other members about this, but I have searched and cannot find a wiring diagram for the footswitch.
Can anyone please show me how to wire the switch?
thanks.  I hate to ask for stuff, but I am trying to do this the correct way.

I worked by B. Tremblay from RunoffGroove on a project we called the Quinoa (pronounced Keen-wah). It's an inductor-based wah circuit with an LFO.

It ended up sounding pretty cool, even though neither of us ended up doing anything with it. And I really need to update the PCB layout.  :-\

CJ, could you explain switches1  and 2.  I am very interested, but is it like the phozer or more of a wah?

I wish we could source those Portico knobs. 8)  Those preamps make realize how software dependent I have become.  I do not use my rack recording gear anymore.  I am remembering it sounded pretty nice.  I need more time to see if my memory is accurate this week.
