Blah, blah, blah. So........ you live in a place called Stagecoach, you've worked for NASA, on projects you're never allowed to talk about, and... you're a fan of Johnny Cash. What else have you got? Madbean forum is pretty picky!!!!!!!!!!!

As above, i use the crunchbox in a couple of pedal boards i run, great distortion sound. Why would you try to tame a good distortion sound when there are so many great overdrives you can build to get the sound you want, with the stomp of a switch. Guitar straight into amp, different story.

Hi mate, I've got a similar story, different issues, but I walked away from a band that I started a couple of years ago. At the end it was no longer fun, and did put a strain on old friendships. Skip forward 2 years, we started jamming again in November and look to gig again soon. The point being, give it a go, what have you got to lose. All the old issues have disappeared , and even the old songs feel fresh, having not been played for a while. Good luck with it  :)

On good advice  ;), i went ahead and grabbed the acousticaster, pictured in original post, for those that are interested, and as was mentioned, it's a very well made guitar, pulled it to bits, cleaned it up, new strings and for a couple of hundred bucks, am super happy. Thanks for the replies  :)

Here's another, only because it's news, unfortunately.  :'( RIP Joe Cocker, a true legend.
