Hmmm, probably silicon. Germaniums usually have some leakage. A lot of the later germaniums that use an alloy process have very low leakage (Russian trannies) but you can still measure it.

There was a whole lotta trouble with that FX company over at FSB. I personally wouln't buy one because of LK's attitude towards DIY builders/the whole FSB fiasco. A Tonebender is what you are looking for, BYOC ESV 2 knob Bender was one of my first builds and it does that sort of tone very well.

Those look great. I've been doing a couple of etched faceplates myself. Very cool way to apply graphics!
Are you coating them with something? I was thinking of using the clear epoxy resin stuff on mine.
