I've gotten a bunch from mammoth and Tayda and haven't had any issues that weren't my fault.

To test for normally open/closed, jut check continuity between the lugs when not pushing the switch.  If you have continuity, it's normally closed.

Inspect the pads, reflow the joints and things will probably improve.   Really wouldn't hurt to post some clear, close up pics.

Do embedded pictures and attachments impact your points?  It seems logical that they would.
If they count against storage and/or bandwidth used, then embedded ones would count.  External links wouldn't however.

I've used a small Amazon EC2 instance for my companies website for quite a few years and its worked out great.  You have complete root/admin etc.   If you reserve the instance, the rates are even cheaper.  If you are only paying like $20/mo, it's way out of that price range but if you are more in the $50-100/mo range, it would definitely compare.

I just ordered a few as well.  Having heard various things about diff PT2399's, I checked around and at like $.50 vs $2-3 at other places, it was certainly a no brainer.  Haven't put them to use yet so I can't speak to the quality.
