Some of you might be too young to remember, but they used to have these places called "barber shops" that would help you with grooming.  I'm hoping they will get trendy with hipsters and come back some day.  ::)

Last time I got a haircut was probably over 20 years ago. So there!

You could put a 100k pot as variable resistor in series with the input.

This is my last version.

the first is an empty box to power my bass guitar, so I don't need battery.
tuner into zvex machine clone, into ditto (I use it to test my effect), into an fet overdrive, into a mountainking megalith, into a bigmuff, into a CE-2, into an electric mistress, into a delay.
A lot of effect are missing, but at this moment I use only these.
It started in 2008 and changed about once a month.
Now I'm planning a modular cornish style pedalboard with programmable looper.
so I won't need enclosure, jacks and footswitches.

Today is a month close in my house. I'm planning a party and you are all invited.

And, starting from today the whole Lombardy (Italy) is more in lockdown. All non-essential activities must close, nobody can leave house except for essential shopping and in case of emergency.
honestly I don't see the end. I think that we won't have summer holidays.
IMHO the government moved too late.

Hey, there is a new positive side. If we are all "working" at home then we can bullshit all day and build pedals, right?

yes, just today my last MBP order was delivered!
at the office...

As always it's the Italian way. We have a Ministerial Decree that obliges us to minimize travel outside the home, but there are a lot of exceptions. Work necessities, health, and there are no controls. In case of a control I need an self-declaration of where I'm going and why.
Yesterday I went to the office to pick-up a shipping (electronic parts  8) ), from Lodi to Milan, about 35km and no-one asked me anything.

JackSkellington, where are you from?

There is finally a confirmed case within 10 miles of me.  I need to stock up on beer very soon (not Corona beer).  Priorities.

I bought a 1.5L vodka last week and put it in my "bunker box" of supplies.
I have about 10 beer crates in my cellar. I'm ok for another couple of week. ;D

I'm in the hurricane eye.
Lodi, Italy. A week working in my house alone.
General panic and people have stockpiled as for a nuclear holocaust.
I have proof:

I was looking for some beers and junky pizza slices for a good Saturday night and around me people with carts full of pasta, tuna cans, salt (wtf?)...

So in theory, Could you isolate the outputs of a 9v daisy chain (like a One Spot) by putting a smaller(cheaper) 1:1 transformer at each output?
Transformers block DC, so I don't think it's possible.
You could use small 1:1 transformers after another transformer to have isolated outputs, but I think it's cheaper order a custom transformer as the voodoo-lab one.

What does Quasi-isolated mean?
Quasi in Italian means almost. In Latin stay for like/as.
I hope they meant the Latin meaning  ;D

I like the creamy color of the mayo. Never heard a opamp muff, sooner or later I will build one.

My muff is a blend between green russian and ram's head, with germanium diodes on the third stage, and a less scooped tone control.
I use it with bass, it's a doom machine.

Fun fact:
The day when I discovered the second (or first) meaning of the word MUFF...
I was looking on google image for some ideas... I started from fuzz... muff fuzz, fuzzy muff, wool... wooly muff, nothing intresting... wool is a form of hair... tried hairy muff. DON'T DO THIS! :o

I have a question.
With high gain/fuzz/bias level I can hear a local radio. It's not a good radio, they stream shitty music, so, I want to remove this.
It is also very noisy.
I tried to put a 220p cap between Q1-base and ground, but nothing happened. How can I make it less noisy?

Yes, the loop jacks need the ground.

Yes, I had to adapt the base, but with a dremel it took 3 minutes.

Build Reports / The Cockpit - PyleDriver
November 19, 2019, 01:26:08 AM
This sunday I was bored so I made a fuzz.
I was curious about the GI Fuzz, so I made the pyledriver, but changing the name. I think that mine fits better  ;D

The build itself is simple, few components, pc mount pots, the graphic is minimal.
I don't like the 125b because it's too thick, so I reduced the thickness by cutting away 8mm from the bottom, so I don't have to lift my foot very much  8)
The sound is very... as you want, there are many controls, many sounds. It is still a fuzz, but very versatile.
