Hello, everybody!
Hope everyone is doing well!

I messed up the jack in the preamp of my SS combo and I've been using the aux input until I can have it fixed. However, there is an impedance mismatch (aux input impedance is 100k and preamp input impedance is 1M) that I believe is making it sound dull (even if I use a separate preamp).

Will a DI box make it better (I have all the necessary components at home, already)?

Use those DIY skills to have a look at the jack.

Another one down, and beautifully done Chris. Looking forward to building mine.

What you need is a distributor in the UK to handle the orders. You ship them to say, Thomas H or Alan P. When you get an order, they ship them for you.

Dang!  That's a lot swirly goodness.  They all look awesome!  I'm partial to the Collosalus, need to play thins one more.

At 12v it can't be beat. I listened to a lot of YouTube videos, it seems pretty dead on to me. I stead of a C500k, I used a C1m pot for the speed, it can go ridiculously slow.

I've got one in my de-bug pile (I've got a working one too), your convincing me to try and get it going with these mods.  Why 12V instead of 18V regulated down to 15V?

Still super noisy. I tried a wall wart 18v and my Dunlop power brick at 18v.
