The Demeter is my goto comp these days.  Like you say, it's the most transparent I've used, and it's got enough level on it to use as a mild boost when needed.

I hate to say it but if I could find the real thing for a palatable price I might actually...cough, cough...buy the real pedal.  Paying my dues to some extent.
I've got a few original pedals that I've added to my collection. I'm kind of looking for an attack decay right now, even though I've built one. Picked up a DMM at a cheap price because it was ugly til I cleaned it up.

Wow, nice. How do you like the 440? I've built one myself.
You're building up quite the pile of pedals. Might be time to build a guitar or two.

I'm out of the guitar game. I've had many over the years. 6 years ago I had around 22 and these all made the cut. I can only play one at a time anyways haha. If I did get anything else I'd probably get another gretsch, I miss my old one sometimes

I hear you, I don't even want to talk about how many I have, it's too many, I'll tell you that. Some of my favorites are the ones I've built though, it just goes hand in hand with building pedals.

My tele, strat and jazzmaster are all parted together by me and I made them to the specs I wanted since I couldn't buy them like that. All my others are rewired and new pickups and all that. I went thru a pickup modding phase long ago where I swapped different magnets in them all, then different cap type values, learning to make bone nuts. I'm surprised it took me so long to start making pedals after years of modding/fixing my own amps
Wow, nice. I haven't ventured into amps yet. Short of a lot, I'm not sure where to begin.

Are there really going to be new projects release on the 7th including two mystery projects??? :D

All the VFE (except the White Horse) will go back in stock plus two new projects I was able to squeeze in between scheduled releases. Nothing mind blowing but I think some people will enjoy them :)
Excellent

It will stop you from touching for face if nothing else.

Build Reports / The good, the vero and the ugly

After years of wanting one, I decided to build an Emma Transmorgrifier. It's a different kind of compressor, it gives life while compressing. It goes from light compression to pumping with lots of variables in between.

The next is a Demeter Conpulator in the for of a Demented Compressor from Rullywow Industries. This is another one of those boards I've had for years and forgot I had. This is the most transparent compressor I've ever used. Additionally, either my water slide is old or my printer is dying. Yep, the PCB is upside down, these things happen.

Nice work!  I actually screwed up a build of this earlier in the year.  I'm going to attempt to build another one (I etched the enclosure already), but since you just finished, I have a question for you:  When effect is powered on and in Envelope mode, which of the LEDs is on, and which of the LEDs is off?
In the above photo, the LED on the left is on and the right is off, which, or course is reverse when you turn it over.

The kits are in short supply and high demand thank to the FDAs latency on finally releasing big Pharma to distribute tests so we could get this under control or at least get out in front of it. I've been buying Pharma stocks and the research alone is just astounding.

Looks great. I had a build that I did the same way, I like the way it turned out.
