Live the graphics Jimmilee! This reminds me that I need to buy an 18v adapter to see if all the ICs I replaced in mine actually did any good! Re: enclosures flying across the room: I haven't had that issue since I purchased a decent stepped drill bit.  It's a real game changer.  It makes hand drilling a breeze! Iirc I went with an Irwin and it's going strong after 2-3 years of abuse.
No kidding? I bet you don't have have to change bits for the different holes too. How quickly do they wear out?

Yeah, I had a tear out on the jack.  I don't have use if my drill press right now, and I didn't think to use a clamp to hold on to it.

Ah that's a bummer, I've totally done that before..with the wrist-twisting and the project flying across the room..your mileage may vary..but yeah, many times..
The upside, however, is that if anyone asks later, you can tell them something badass like you didn't have any bullets small enough that day.
Bwahahahaha, I figured I'd get some JB weld or something I'd it came down to it. I broke a couple of drill bits  while using my drill press and that happened. It's kind of exciting. Especially if the enclosure catches your thumb on its way across the room.

Love it, such a great effect! I really like your take on the artwork.
Thank you.

Nice work,
That's a good look for the circuit- seems to have turned out very shiny, how do you like the sounds?

Now..not to draw attention away from the positive, but you don't get a dc jack looking like that without a tale to tell!

This is my Rustbucket. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Went with kind of the same theme that many go with, just a different take.

This one is trashed at this point. Solder PAFs keep coming off both sides. I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna order another one and give it a go. There are lots of screwy things happening on this one.

The steampunk one is clean looking all the way round. I love the concept.

Here is where we're at after I replaced C22. Poking better, half of  IC 5 is still whacky though. I replaced it with a couple of different ICs with the same result.

I'm aware of how the power section on this works  ;) I meant, your previous set of voltages had it correctly outputting -15V and I was pointing out that ain't right now so something may have killed the regulator or you're measurements are getting messed up somehow.

Please put up your previous voltages again, I need to see what's changed between the two.
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply your didn't, it was just an observation.

I can't make heads or tails of it, 18V in to and out of the regulator?

For the time being I suggest taking the MN3005 out of the circuit as a precaution because if those voltages are actually right, they're 1V off terminal.

I can say that in relation to the (incorrect) supply voltage, IC5 pin 1-3 are obviously bad so there's something going on in that area, possibly a bad chip or electro (C22).
Thanks scruff. I'll have a look this evening. It's the 1 watt resistor that brings it down to 18 from 27.

How can you possibly have ~ -15v coming from the regulator and on IC1 power supply (pin 4) and 18V & 17V on all those other chips... you've either made a mistake measuring, there's a ground problem or something has gone horribly, horribly wrong.

I suppose out of that the compander looks most wrong but the voltages are nonsensical so I wouldn't trust that.
Ok, remeasured my voltages. I noticed something a little off. Could a trace be bad somewhere?

That looks fantastic. That's some mad wiring you got going on.

Thanks, Jimilee, I'm really happy with how this one looks.  I over-etched it just a bit, but the imperfections that arose worked out in my favor.

As for the wiring..when Mammoth Electronics was becoming extinct, they were clearing out their stock of 16mm POTs for $.25 or $.50 each, so I bought enough lugged POTs to save myself a few hundred dollars over the next couple years, anyhow I liked doing my own enclosure layouts of clones to begin with, but now I've got even more reason to wire things off-board so I'm getting a lot of practice!
I'm kicking myself for missing that sale.
