I've built them from vero a couple of times both for myself and another bass player. A good set of headphones will really make the difference.

So you mean a guitar headphone amp? any specific one you like? If so, a link or name of the project would be appreciated. thank you!

There is one here. I built a headphone amp into a 2 channel mixer for a friend that wanted to plug audio into one channel so that he could learn songs. Turned out pretty neat.

Coming back to the topic.  I've got a couple of large orders coming in from tayda et al in order to finish off a bunch of pcb and vero I have lying around.  After that, I think I'm finishing up.  It still won't be for a while because there's so much to complete and decide on what's getting boxed, but I just don't see myself building much more.

At some point you have to say to yourself I got more then enough pedals, time to do something else.

I agree. I just moved and I have boxes and boxes and boxes for days of pedals. I'm not real sure what to do with them. Buying and selling on this forum seems to have slowed down.

Well dammit, I can't find anything I want to part with. After my last pedal purge, I rebuilt the ones that I want. I will dig through all of my PCBs and sell them off. Look for another thread soon.

Latest Project. Advertised as a 'loft find'. Let the repair/restoration commence. If this one ends up nice, I'll RGB mod it and do some shuffling with the UAV (S-Video) board that's in the Junior, and put that in the 7800, then just composite mod the Jr.

Woohoo! Nice find. I found a classic Atari with 100 games built in. We love it.

I definitely infinitely prefer forums for information and the like.  Finding information here is a stack easier than facebook.

However, the instant gratification for a build report doesn't happen here.  I'm as guilty as anyone in that I rarely comment on a build, but it does feel a bit like that the bar is massively so high that the build has to be polished in tears of nubile virgins without a micrometer of wasted wire in order to get any feedback sometimes.

It also depends on who posts the build report. Some people are more popular then others and their build reports will get more oh's and ah's then others. That's just the way it is. With FB it matters less who posts the pretty pictures, as long as your pictures are pretty. If only you get to see the pretty pictures from the get go. No need to click on a link first.

I totally disagree that "more popular people" get more ohs and ahs. It all comes down to skill and a touch of OCD. These same people tend to design their own projects.

Or is this going to be one of those days where someone learns that millennials are almost 40 years old now? Birth years are 1980-1995, which I would guess accounts for a very large percentage of the people here.

I would agree with Jon on this one, if we are talking "millenials" by definition.  If we are referring to generation Z, well thats a whole different story and with a different theory. See extract from youtube analytics.  Sure, its youtube, but it still gives you an insight into what age group is searching for DIY pedal info
