And, you can only build so many overdrives before you run out of stuff to build. Millennials aren't interested in DIY for the most part, they're a pretty disposable generation. Don't build it or fix it, buy it and replace it.

Maaann what is going on? I haven't built anything in some time, but I'm not hanging it up, I've been working on guitars instead. When something really cool comes out, I may build it. But for now, I too am content with not building things.

Somewhere in this sub forum is a thread on just that. I built a 1590a with alligator clips for power, on, out and ground. It has regular audio jack and a power jack. I plug the guitar in one side and the amp just like a regular pedal. I didn't use a stomp.

Nicely done. I used red  leds in mine for a while, I had to crank the volume to get any real break up, I didn't care for how nasty it sounded.
