Ill be honest with you. As a bass player of 30+ years, there aren't a whole lot of audible differences between guitar and bass pedals in anything except overdrives. As far as mods on this one? Brian would be the one to ask.

Your story sounds far too familiar my friend. I've heard lots of stories, cool ones about myself that I wish I could remember cause it sounds like I had a good time.

The front is cool, but the back is way cooler I think.

Brian, I know it's a PITB, but when the search function is working it helps me to ask a lot less stupid questions.

Now, when you say full rolls, are we talking like a pound? I buy kester by the pound and it lasts about two years. I don't k know nothing about tarnished solder though.

Good news (?) - it looks like it's back.  I just connected and looks to be OK.
It's cobbled together, there are still some bugs and the search isn't working. It's got to be difficult with a forum that size.

A couple days ago, I logged in and it was totally flooded with asian-language spam. Might be working on a fix.
Good point, I forgot about that.

Speaking of which, anyone have recommendation for MacBook app?

I use logic, it just sounds cleaner than garage band. I bought it on eBay for around 35.00 downside is, you can't update it, upside is, I'm only recording, and playing at home for kicks, so it doesn't bother me too much.

So, I'm in the first year of working on my Bachelors, I work, I'm a father, I'm learning to play guitar and occasionally, just occasionally, I come across something I want to build. I don't use any of the build anymore, mostly logic on my laptop. I just don't have time to build BUT it won't always be this way. I'm not tired of it, and I sure don't have time for it...right now. I do it for it's therapeutic aspect, not interested in making money. Built a couple of pedals with my daughter because she wanted to. I will build again some day, but not right now.

Just a thought.

^^^^thats what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure what to call them. Seems like someone makes a stray switch system with that kind of versatility.

That's uncanny you bring that up today as I just received from the factory these wiring plates for a Gibson LP (see attached). I had to rewire a 90s LP that had been modded and the only way to do it was hammering out the pots, rendering the metal plate in the cavity useless (cuz bend out of shape). So I reproduced it as a PCB, including a ground plane so you don't have to solder bus wire across the pots. It has nothing of the fancy options of the 2019 Standard of course. I was going to throw these up on the BST area of the forum to see if there's any interest in these things.

That's great! If it were SG size I'd def be interested. I might just grab one anyway.

My main gripe with the recent PCB is that replacing a pot requires removing all the knobs and pulling the whole assembly out. Granted, that's not something you do all the time, so it's probably not going to be a big problem very often.

I've actually got a project in the works that is a PCB per pot with molex connectors between the boards. Also has cap switching/stacking options via dip switch.

That's actually one of the main gripes I've seen about them. The individual board project sounds interesting. Since day one I've been scheming how to out a varitone on mine.

Pickups don't come with molex adapters wired. I find it easier to just bypass the board completely.

That's the other big gripe I've seen. Would there be any way to connect pickups that would not make One want to bypass the PCB?
A way to quickly connect the actual pickup wires to the pcb without soldering new connectors, and alternate wiring like standard and 50s style.

I can still see a little bit of empty space, what are you gonna do with that, 1590A phaser perhaps?
