So are you playing bass or guitar?
Bass. Ill post some recordings later so you guys can hear the style, I'm not sure what you would compare it to.

New Band Day
So I went and jammed with some guys that are good musicians, know their stuff, and they aren't jerks. Feeling pretty good about this new endeavor. They have some original stuff that sounds great. Just thought I'd  share some good news.

Oh yeah for sure Jimi, if James was going anywhere near the soldering iron I would be right there with him...not on the couch in my underwear drinking a beer :D Maybe I will have a crack at it this summer holidays...I might need a Valium before we start.
Bwahahahaha you can sit on the couch in your underwear drinking beer, that gets crazy weird feeling...so I'm told....

Am I the only one who buys knobs and never uses them? Unless I'm selling something I rarely put knobs on a pedal.
I'll be honest, the knobs make things less confusing for my bass player brain.

I didn't turn my daughter loose with the iron, we held it next to the lead together and I showed her how to touch the solder to the other. I chose the EM drive on vero for its simplicity and low parts count (3 I think).

Volume and loudness, wonder what the effect is.
The producer and Converge guitarist's current card doubles up as a PCB, you see. Solder it up, add $40-$50 worth of parts, and you'll have yourself a distortion pedal.

Ballou says the design is called the Brutalist Jr, and when it's released in 2017 under the GCI name.

I find that my daughter (19 months) is a good reliability tester at the moment, if it can survive her it'll survive a tour  ;D

Ah ah awesome

My daughter (9 months old) is very curious about my pedalboard and little practice amp, all the leds and buttons and shiny finish. And she starts "singing" evrytime I play the acoustic. :)
I do the exact same thing!

Yep, with my daughter. Started out using pain pens on enclosures, eventually she built an EM drive on vero. She soldered and I wired it up. She keeps it at her moms on her dresser.
