With my birthday coming up, my wife wanted to get me the acoustic I wanted 5 guitars back. I had a 15% off coupon from GC that expires tomorrow, so the choice was made to go ahead and get it. A new BBT for 370 is a deal that is not to be passed. Sounds very warm and has great sustain.

Did you check that your transformers aren't loose, and that your ground you soldered back on isn't touching anything else?

Runs off a battery.  Won't run off the 9v adapter.  I replaced the dc jack.  Still same issue.  Does the battery bypass the protection diode? I was assuming the diode was fine as the pedal works with a battery.  Any ideas?

Nice job figuring it out. Watching your evolution from your start to now is astounding. Anyway /derail.

So on the input jack itself, you have a tip and a sleeve lug. Put a resister from the tip lug to the sleeve lug. That should tame it.

Put a 1M resistor across the  input jack lugs from tip to sleeve. With that many pedals, it's hard to pinpoint the issue.
